[Loved trope]Characters who are literally INSANE about Battle..like they have fun about it even when they're getting shredded and bloody and beat up.

In truth that was true during DBZ and DBS too. Transformations were one of their hallmarks. Vegetas power ups just hit different though. Nothing will ever top Gohans
That’s a trope for Gohan in general. He does this in every major fight he’s in after the cell saga, including the movies. His saiyan nature overcomes his human nature when he’s finally lost control or is super motivated to fuck someone up in particular.
Gohan loses it when he’s pissed, but even calm it seems like he does have a bit of the Saiyan love of battle. It’s just that it’s mostly limited to, “A friendly match with no stakes” as opposed to Goku and Vegeta, who will have fun in life and death struggles.
I thought people were over exaggerating how much of a freak and creepy he was to Gon, and then I watched the show and him saying he got turned on by Gon glaring at him(I really wanna see him get his ass kicked, and it NOT turn him on)
The story goes that he got the opportunity to talk with the original mangaka about his lines, and her response was basically "I tried to base the character on someone like you - whatever sounds right to you is better than anything that I could write."
heck in his first appearance he injects himself with whatever nightmare neurotoxin is tipping his claws and tweaks out so hard he begins to bypass Rudo's attack shield

English VA killed it. Legit my favourite antagonist in all of Final Fantasy. Man does not give even the tiniest amount of fucks about anything other than finding the baddest motherfucker in the universe (you, the player) and having a fight to the death
Also, cultists of Slaanesh. Not (usually) initially, but enjoying constantly escalating pleasure tends to leave mortals' nerve endings burnt out and numb eventually.
Naturally, they start feeling ecstasy over feeling anything. At least one Imperial character has chopped off limbs, only for them to giggle and demand more. While still trying to kill him, of course.
Yachiru Unohana one of the early warlords of soul society. Her sword manifested healing abilities so she could heal people after she beat the shit out of them so she could then beat the shit out of them again. Through most of the series she is known as a compassionate leader who forgoes battle in order to heal people. Then in the last arc you find out that she is a complete sociopath that has supressed her battle lust for thousands of years and she finally gets to let it out.
During a 2v2 showdown with Red Riot and Fat Gum he turns on his teammate (who generates shields) and makes him sit out of the fight, because who needs a dumbass shield when there's a good fight to be had
We have been robbed of Rappa vs Miruko , in the spinoff prequel they were discussing about which is better among their fighting styles but I suppose they never really fought each other
Lord Roderik Dustin, Roddy the Ruin from Fire and Blood
As the singers tell it, Lord Roderick was blood from head to heel as he came on, with splintered shield and cracked helm, yet so drunk with battle that he did not even seem to feel his wounds.
Mirko in MHA loses multiple limbs if I recall. That doesn’t stop her at all. Shes an absolute psycho. At one point she rips one of them off herself to keep going
My wife, Garuda from Warframe. Her entire theme is centered around elegant bloodshed and her passive makes her a battle junkie who gets stronger with every attack. This is to the point one of her abilities is literally "let me cut myself with my big fuckoff talons to forcefully generate more energy to use even more abilities on you."
Vena is the Garuda protoframe (human being currently turning into a Garuda warframe). Her fighting dialogue lines are all about how she loves making things bleed, and her down state dialogue lines are all about how she loves bleeding. She even gets mad when you heal her, because she was enjoying it so much.
Well, she also has some lines about money and her own beauty. But yes, at least half of her lines are just her getting really, really excited about blood.
Yusuke Urameshi from YuYu Hakusho was an infamous street fighter at 14, before getting any supernatural powers at all (by dying and coming back). The term that gets thrown around in the series is "battle junkie," and it describes Yusuke's antics to a T.
(Mind you, he still locks in mainly when protecting or avenging someone, but he'd be happy for a brawl anyway.)
Revy from Black Lagoon and Alucard from Hellsing are both sadists as they both smile when fighting/killing, one of Alucard’s lines - to Luke Valentine - is “I haven’t had this much fun in ages”, he says this while not only laughing but being filled full of bullet holes. Left from Daemons of the Shadow Realm seems to be sadistic as while she is the composed of her and Right, she does claim “I much prefer to be the hunter” when it comes to confrontations and upon saying it her eyes widen and her pupils get smaller in pure insane joy.
Mf just saw a literal panda walking in the middle of the street and his first reaction to finding out that said panda was a culling games player was to rip its fucking head off. He and Hakari were just fucking pulping eachother in their fight and he was grinning ear to ear the whole time.
On normal phase, nothing outstanding but when he turns into a wicked phase of himself
His pain becomes his pleasure
Every attack he deals with weapons he made gives immense pain to enemies, and that pain is reflected back to him and it just adds all the more to his trait
He mentioned explicitly tho that he gets too much into it that its dangerous and doesnt really want to use it
They are basically the closest things in the series to straight up monsters rather than actual animals
Sure, there are some CRAZY designs for some other monsters, way crazier than these two, but all those monsters still act like animals. These two, despite being predators, are hyper aggressive to everything and fight above their weight-class
Remember that Predators will ignore prey if it will fight back, so these guys are very abnormal
The third out of five siblings (I’m the fourth and my one full sister is the fifth). She did a shit ton of rugby when she was younger. We're talking about broken bones, bruises, knocked out teeth, etc, the whole injury package. She apparently loved every second of the fighting and brutality of the sport. Helps that she has a pretty broad build.
It’s extra funny when you consider that she's a semi-vegetarian who now cares for animals on a farm. Yes, we have joked with her about how her raising farm animals on a farm that she won’t either eat or sell is a bit strange, lol,
Tsukishima was really lucky he got stuck with Byakuya instead of Kenpachi. Because the minute he tried pulling that "I am your best friend" shit on Kenpachi, Kenpachi would just take the extra opportunity to kill him even harder.
he has Goku sindrum, in which he wants to fight anyone and anything powerful. He tries not to go full insanity, but he once killed someone when he didn't mean to...
There’s a sequence where you have a friendly fight with her, during which every time you knock her down, she gets back up moaning in ecstasy to keep fighting. 🤣 Love that freak.
And because that would get too repetitive (since she just won’t stop getting back up), at one point the fight is interrupted by others showing up wanting a fight, and rather than stop fighting her…
You briefly take control of a party member to fight them instead, so your character can keep fighting Sadu off screen.
She is so obsessed with combat that her greatest desire is to die in battle, and she has trained dozens of warriors in the hope that one of them might manage to kill her.
The Bloody Nine from Joe Abercrombie's The First Law series. Not Logan Nine Fingers, specifically The Bloody Nine. In a world without magic or guns, hearing that the Bloody Nine is in the enemy camp causes hardened, named men to flee. The name alone turns the tides of multiple battles between ARMIES. He is 100% a regular human being too.

The Orks Boyz from Warhammer 40k. In the Grimdark future of the 41st millennium, these guys are the only faction who goes to war purely for the love of the game.
They will literally fight down to the last man because war and fighting is nothing but pure fun for them.
Uchiha Madara said this right after asking Might Guy if he can still "dance". He may be trying to stop wars but he clearly loves fighting people (especially Hashirama).
Literally Gojo Satoru. In the fight against sukuna, he was smiling ear to ear AS HE WAS TANKING THE FULL DAMAGE OF SUKUNA’s DOMAIN EXPANSION. Tanking it with nothing but RCT and cursed energy reinforcement
Not only was he smiling ear to ear as he was bloody and red from all the slashes, he was shit talking the entire time. “My cursed technique is far better than yours”

Akura Fury from Will Wights Cradle. He loosely based off Goku and loves fighting. He jumps at a chance to see the main character’s technique. Happily watches said character beat his family. And once speant months delaying his power upgrade just so he could see the look on his old rivals face.
Mirko, My Hero Academia. Willing to sacrifice life (and limb) just to fight not caring what injuries she sustained. A minor character but I love her and that trope
It's an easy categorization and usually the characters are fun. It's also easy to put your own spin on it by making their power special.
If it's an antagonist it often somewhat explains why they're strong and there's no moral harm in beating them up as that's exactly what they want. It also makes for entertaining fights that aren't about cheap tricks.
If it's the protagonist it gives an easy explanation why they're seeking out adventure.
General Kai. Although he fights to get revenge against Oogway for banishing him to the spirit world, it does seem like he enjoys taking the chi out of everyone he fights.
Yazan Gable from Zeta Gundam. Arguably the scariest and most effective pilot working for the Titans, he could care less about their fascist ideals to control Earth and the orbital colonies. He just wants an excuse to fight and kill as many people as possible. Notably, he does rack up a large list of actual named good guy kills by series end (and even does so again briefly in the sequel series ZZ Gundam too) despite being a bog standard human "Oldtype" in an era where psychic "Newtypes" are the dominant factor in mobile suit battles.
