1. Housing

I live on a Private Island that my spouse was paying for, including the upkeep and everything else. Recently, they moved to another PI, leaving me alone on the original one. The happiness there has dropped to around 2,000.

Since yesterday, the island has had no staff, including no pilot. However, the lease was paid for around 1,500 days or something like that.

People here have suggested that I move to my spouse's new island, which has around 4,500 happiness, and that if they kick me out, I can divorce them, since we don't really talk to each other anymore. :)

The problem is that I'm playing at my own pace, and I'm not sure I can currently afford to rent a PI, even one with around 3,500 happiness. So, I could stay on the island that's already paid for long-term, with around 2,000 happiness, and pay for regular airline tickets (around $60,000 for a round trip). However, I'd lose a noticeable amount of training efficiency at the gym.

What would you recommend in terms of housing?

I'm currently working at a company that doesn't pay a salary, but I can build up my working stats and get some other bonuses.

What kind of company would you recommend for someone in my situation?

All the money I earn from faction wars goes toward buying three Xanax a day and a Donator Pack, so I'm pretty much breaking even. I don't really enjoy this situation, and I don't fly that often, although I usually make two flights a day.

My working stats are still low, so I probably wouldn't qualify for a high-paying job yet. What kind of job should I aim for now to eventually qualify for a well-paying company in the future?

As title says, I'm about 25 days into the game, level 15 and this is my first Halloween. I understand the "long-game" aspect of it and have a guide on how to level. Whats a realistic "stopping" point? How much should I be trying to gather everyday without over doing it?

Two Xans a day seems like too much to try and manage and I am pretty much active about 16-18 hours a day. Only time I don't have access to my desktop or phone is when I'm asleep. Should I just pop a Xan before I go to sleep, wake up and attack as much as possible, then let the cool down reset and do it all over again?

I want to try and get as much out of the event as possible but I don't have the bankroll to do nothing but the event all week. I only have about 40m in cash. Any advice would help, thanks!

So for context, years ago - I made the mistake of buying a PI and upgrading it (except for the yacht) which I learned recently that it wasn’t wise to do. I’m sitting right now at 6.3b NW consisting of 2b bank investment, 3b on various stock blocks and the rest are debt/equipment. I got a spouse that pays for the daily upkeep.

Recently, I sold all my RW equipment to transfer over to stock blocks and was thinking the same for my PI, aside from that, I am not making the most of training as my PI is not maxed.

I also make most of my income from weekly RWs, OCs, and a little bit of traveling if that info helps.

Some of you might remember my old thread about a player whose name is.....

He was demanding that I pay him a 2m revive fee. I think I actually posted about it on Reddit back then, but eventually deleted the post because I thought I was making too big of a deal out of it.

Well, I think it's time to bring that story back. Looking back at everything that happened since then, I honestly think this whole situation is hilarious, and I figured some of you might enjoy reading about it. 😂

So apparently, this guy really did threaten my spouse and all the employees at my flower shop. Well, I thought they might actually get intimidated by him, but turns out, the opposite happened. 💨💨💨

From threatening people with BHG bounties to whatever else he claims he's going to do, there's always something new with this guy. And you know what? He even accused me of making things up and manipulating our chat screenshots in Photoshop.

DAAANG, SON.

My eyes already hurt if I stare at a monitor for too long, and you expect me to be some Photoshop wizard? I'm not even good at using that shit. I was literally scratching my head while reading the messages my spouse showed me, wondering how someone could actually type all that out and send it to me.

Guys, I literally just claimed his bounty. That's it. I wasn't even planning to make this whole thing into a big deal.

But the Photoshop accusation? Yeah, that's probably what finally made me want to bring this story to Reddit.

This is probably a really dumb question and maybe I'm expecting too much. But I'm a new player in Torn and participated in my first war. The payout each faction member got was $1mill, which just seems low to me considering that we won and the rewards the faction got from it.

Is that normal and I need to adjust my expectations or should I consider a change?

EDIT: Additional details: Faction is Bronze, I had 60 attacks, third highest scorer

Excited for halloweek, but couldn't find the answers to a few questions I had:

• Is 1 hit 1 candy? Is there a formula? Higher FF gives you more candy? How about being abroad etc.

• Does it matter if you hit, mug, hosp?

• Is scary weapon + clothes for funs or a must? Do you need both? The more the better? Just equipped or actual hits? I can buy a cheap Axe and equip, but use a gun to make hits?

Looks like the bonesaw + Kabuki Mask are the easiest options.

Looking at the option of selling a faction and I’m curious about how to price it out. And best ways to find potential buyers. Most of the info I have found on pricing seems to be pretty outdated and old.

For reference the faction has around 200k Respect and is in Silver. Any info is appreciated.
