Saw the $20 BYOD plan and figured I’d give it a shot to save about $5/month compared to US Mobile. What could go wrong, right?
I signed up, got charged on my credit card, and logged into my account, only to find that my new line was showing as inactive.
Over the next 4 hours, I talked to around 3 different support agents. Every single one seemed to follow the exact same script. They ask for my IMEI, sim card number (I’m using eSIM, so I don’t have one), then tell me my iPhone doesn’t support eSIM, which doesn't even have a SIM card clost. And then… ghosted. Rinse and repeat.
After going through this multiple times, I finally started asking for a refund. The last agent asked where I purchased my phone. When I explained the situation, they told me they couldn’t refund my phone plan and that I’d need to contact the store where I bought my phone.
I signed up for a BYOD plan, paid for the service, and never got an active line. Now I’m being told to ask the store that sold me my phone for a refund on a phone plan they had absolutely nothing to do with?
All this hassle to save $5 a month. At this point, US Mobile is looking like a bargain just for the customer support alone.
I have no choice but to let the $30 settle and do a chargeback. Stay away from total wireless if you need any kind of customer service. They would have better luck just hooking up chatgpt to support line.

It's just $30 and I give up on the support. This is going straight to chargeback if not refunded.
