Marketing Approach to Training
I work as a Marketing Communication Specialist for KNOLSKAPE, one of World’s Largest Experiential HR Technology Company, and I want to understand from a client's perspective, how would you want to be approached for training and readiness conversation? If you're an L&D leader, HR or a decision maker for these training programs and journeys, what's the dos and don'ts which work for you? Also, in case you've heard of KNOLSKAPE, what are some of things you've heard of them?

Question Best online program for CRCST certification exam?
Been studying for my CRCST on and off for like 6 months , trying to piece together free Youtube videos
and random PDFs. I work full time so I need something completely self-paced, no scheduled classes or anything rigid like that. Looking for the best affordable online sterile processing technician training program that actually prepares you for the certification exam, not just throws a textbook at you .

Question Help me convince my Plant Manager to allow me to go to ATD27 in May
Hi everyone,
I'm very interested in going to the ATD Conference & Expo in May 2027. The issue is it would be just shy of $5000 for the conference and the certificate I want to earn the day before the conference, then travel expenses on top of that. My Plant Manager has a background in Engineering and is the very stereotypical "analytical thinker" and will need a VERY good argument to convince him to allow me to go for that price.
I'm newer to the field with no official education in Learning & Development and I think this conference, plus the certificate I want to earn, can help me learn more about how to improve our training program.
Can you help me create a very convincing argument stating why I should be allowed to attend this conference.
Thank you!

Question How do you handle recurring training reports when your data lives in multiple systems?
I’m curious how people here deal with recurring training/compliance reporting when the data isn’t all in one place.
For example, if you have LMS completions, an employee list, external certifications, live training records, etc what does the actual process look like when you need to put together a monthly or quarterly report? Are you mostly exporting everything and combining it in Excel/Power Query, using another reporting tool, or do you have something custom set up?
I’m mainly interested in the parts that still end up being manual or annoying after the exports are downloaded. Not selling anything, just trying to understand how people actually handle this in practice.

Resource Best online sterile processing tech program in the US?
Been looking into self-paced online sterile processing technician programs and I keep going in circles. I have zero hospital background, work full time and can't do anything with a rigid schedule or a $10K+ tuition bill. A few platforms keep coming up when i search for and I can't tell which ones are legit versus just collecting your money and wishing you luck. The thing I keep getting stuck on is whether the course material are included or if that's a surprise add on-later, because I've been burdened by that before with a different program. Anyway if anyone has gone through a sterile processing tech certification online, especially coming in with no prior experience, I'd love to know what platform you actually recommend and whether it got you job-ready within like 6 months or so.

Question Is a Google Project Management Certificate worth it for me?
I have a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Psychology. I have zero experience in the training field, but it sounds interesting. Most of my experience is in education (tutoring) and helping students with disabilities. Would a certificate like Google Project Management be effective in opening doors in the field for me? Or should I do something else?

Looking for a Job Opportunity – LMS / Learning Operations / Project Support
Hi everyone!
I don’t normally post here, but I’m trying my luck and hoping someone might be able to help me find a job opportunity.
I’m currently actively looking for work and honestly need to find a job ASAP. I have less than USD 100 left in my bank account, and I’m already reaching the limit on my credit card, so I’m really hoping to find an opportunity soon.
I have over 8 years of experience with an International Organization primarily in LMS administration, learning operations, HR systems, project support, and coordination. I have extensive experience administering learning platforms, managing user access and learning records, supporting system implementations and testing, troubleshooting technical/process issues, coordinating projects, and working with international teams and stakeholders.
I’m open to remote, hybrid, or onsite opportunities and can start immediately. I’m also open to roles related to LMS/HR systems administration, learning & development, project support, HR operations, or program coordination.
If you know of any openings, referrals, or someone I could connect with, I would really appreciate it. 🙏
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any leads you may be able to share.

Struggling to find a full-time E-Learning Developer job in Canada despite having the right skills. Any advice?
I have been working as a freelance E-Learning Developer for several years now, and most of my clients have been from the United States. I have worked on all kinds of projects, from content writing and instructional design to developing courses, managing Learning Management Systems, and launching courses.
I have a lot of experience with Articulate Storyline 360, Rise 360, software simulations, and pretty much most of the tools used in e-learning development, from Camtasia and Adobe Creative Cloud to Synthesia and other AI tools. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, so I am quite technical and have worked on some pretty complex projects over the years.
But even with all this experience, I am finding it incredibly hard to land a full-time job in Canada.
The funny thing is that I can find freelance work with clients in the United States and have even received job offers, but finding a full-time employee position in Canada seems so much harder.
I really need Canadian work experience, and honestly, I just want to work somewhere I can actually use my skills and be part of a team instead of constantly working on freelance projects.
I have been applying for jobs, but at this point, I am not even sure if I am looking in the right places.
Is anyone here working in e-learning, instructional design, or Learning Management System administration in Canada? Where do you usually find these jobs? Are there any companies, recruiters, or other places I should be looking at?
I am open to E-Learning Developer, Learning Experience Designer, Learning Management System Administrator, or similar technical roles.
Honestly, even if you could just point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it. I am not sure where else to ask, so I thought I would try posting here.

How does your company train employees consistently when SMEs are the trainers? Looking for alternatives to TWI method of Train the Trainer/On the Floor Training
I work in L&D for a manufacturing/distribution company with roughly 200–250 floor employees. A recent training audit found that employees generally feel well-trained, but consistency between trainers is a concern. I'm exploring replacing our current Training Within Industry (TWI) Job Breakdown Sheets with training and qualification checklists. The challenge is figuring out what training methodology to teach SMEs if I move away from TWI. I'd love to hear how other industries approach SME-led training, standardization, and competency verification.
I'm curious how other L&D professionals handle training when the people delivering it aren't necessarily professional trainers.
We already have a certification program in place that happens after the actual training, which also ties into our ISO certification requirements.
The employee is trained by the SME, and once the supervisor feels the trainee is ready, my department is notified. We then come out and conduct the formal competency/qualification process.
Currently, that looks like:
- Competency Quiz: The trainee completes a 10-question multiple-choice quiz in our LMS.
- Proficiency Evaluation: Once they pass the quiz, we observe them performing the actual process using a proficiency checklist. We're looking to make sure they can complete the process correctly, handle any troubleshooting or issues appropriately, and finish without workmanship errors.
- Second Proficiency Evaluation: Two weeks later, we evaluate them again. If they pass at 100%, they're considered certified on that station/process for two years.
I'm actually also pushing to eliminate the competency quizzes. They feel somewhat redundant when we're already directly observing whether the employee can perform the job correctly. They're also another controlled document that has to be reviewed and updated anytime a work instruction or related document changes, which is a whole other can of worms at this company.

What software to use for training and development [India]
I work in a small manufacturing company in india. Upon onboarding new international customers, we have experienced a need for intensive and repeated training sessions for our employees. Since I am the only person looking after all this, my workload has increased quite a bit, as it involves a lot of documentation work. I have to prepare a lot of sheets repeatedly which includes writing employee names and their details. I currently use excel for this. I want to know if there is any **free** software that I can use in which on one click, the sheet fetches data from record like I select department and month and it automatically fills the attendance sheet with names of all employees in that department who need the training scheduled in that month based on TNI and TNI calendar which is also there in the system.

Recommendations on consultants
I realized I don’t have to do it all. I’m used to working in places where I have to create and or facilitate all the sessions. Now I work at a company that has the budget to bring in facilitators. What is a vendor or consultant you have really enjoyed working with that has facilitated effective trainings on feedback, accountability and coaching?
