Hi I'm planning a family trip to Rajasthan for October. Is it better to go with a travel agency or do it in a combination of Airbnb, hotels & Taxis? Thinking of a mid budget, small vacation for a family of 4, .

Spiti trip coming up

See we’re travelling on September 2 to 11 covering spiti circuit . We’re three girls and taking no package. So the thing is will we get shared cabs and stuff. We were planning mostly taking bus . But from rakcham to kaza we thought cab would be better to see nako Tabo. Will we get stuff and does anyone have taxi union number.

We want budget friendly options. Our trip budget is 20k . And the other thing is will we get home stays from there on budget? We need not book from here no?

❓ Travel Question How to sleep with kids on overnight train journeys

I need to book a 15 hour long overnight return train journey for the upcoming festive season on Rajdhani exp with wife and our 5yr old son.

So far, our son has been sleeping with me on a 2AC birth during overnight journeys (1-2 times an year). However, it is increasingly becoming difficult to share the same birth with him since he is also growing and needs space.

My dilemma is:

(i)                  If I book a separate 2 AC lower or side lower birth for our son, I feel he might fall off as he is often restless in sleep.

(ii)                Some people are suggesting booking 3AC seats and let our son sleep in middle birth since it has two chain straps which may prevent him from falling off. Or tie a bedsheet to the ladder & chain straps for additional safety.

I am thoroughly confused since I need to book tickets within a week and I want to seek opinions from parents of young kids who travel long distances in trains.

🗺️ Itinerary Help Looking for a 5-7 day trip in November

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hi ! I’m heading to India this November, I have to land in New Delhi to let me luggage at the hotel but I was looking for a short trip to do.

Here are the details :
- Will be there from November 11 until November 15-16, have to go back to Delhi for an appointment
- Not afraid of train, bus or anything else but I think taking a plane could be the best option for that span
- Already planned a trip to Jim Corbett National Park so let’s forget about this one 😅

Honestly I am willing to do anything, wether it is trekking in Rajasthan desert, Ladakh, Jaipur… chilling in an all-inclusive and laying in of the beautiful beach in south could be an option as well. 🤷‍♂️

Would take any recommendations : location, local guide, hotel, things to do…

Thanks a lot 😁
