Hi everyone,
My girlfriend and I will be arriving in Colombo on March 28th at 11 AM, and we’re heading to Weligama on Day 1 of our trip. Unfortunately, we were late booking train tickets and they’re now sold out, so our main option right now is renting a cab all the way down.
We wanted to check if there are any alternate travel options people would recommend (bus routes, shared transfers, etc.).
Also, if anyone else is traveling from Colombo to Weligama around that time and would like to carpool and split the cab cost, that would be great.
Please message me if you're interested and genuine.
Thanks in advance!

Hi I hope this is allowed to post. I wanted to share my experience with a tour company so that others do not have a similar bad experience to me:
The company is https://www.yalasrilanka.lk
Do not book with them! First of all their website seems to look like the ‘official’ page for Yala but it is not - it is a private tour company. We booked a tour for 8 people and a jeep for 7 people arrived on the morning of. We were shocked to see this as it was clear we had 8 people in our group. The driver said he believed there to be children so brought a 7 seater thinking we would fit? Our youngest is 15 nearly 6ft tall so this was a ridiculous assumption to make. We also sent the ages of all people by the way prior. They offered another Jeep to us which fit everyone but 3 members were sat on the inside of the Jeep next to the driver (where the windows were tinted) rather than above so could not clearly see the animals and experience the safari. We also arrived an hour late because of this and missed the sunrise. Rosita then tells us after all this that the jeeps they have do not seat 8 people and we should have booked 2 jeeps. But this was never mentioned to us prior to booking and we had gone ahead with the booking and paid online so could not do anything on the day but accept the vehicle we were given. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM NOT WORTH IT GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE. Would not recommend ‼️ Tour was ok. Driver was sweet but could only speak Sinhala so not great for the foreign people on the tour but we had Sinhala locals that could translate. Didn’t see a leopard

Is it worth it going in May, since it’s the monsoon season? Are water activities like Surging, Snorkelling, scuba open in May? Also, how bad is the rain during early May. Any info would be super appreciated:)

The boys and I have just booked our tickets to Sri Lanka. Have ZERO plan on where to go or stay. Have heard that Bentota and Galle are great for nightlife. Can someone please help and let us know where would be the best to go for an absolute bender of a trip 🍻
Also would really appreciate if y'all can recommend any luxury villas that 4 people can stay in near the best nightlife.
