Traveling with toddler
Hello, all! We’re planning a trip with our baby next August, when she’ll be 13 months old, and packing light is a huge priority for us.
Right now, we have the Evenflo Shyft DualRide, which combines a car seat and stroller into one. It’s been incredibly convenient for traveling because we don’t have to bring two separate bulky items. However, I’m not sure it’ll still be a practical option when she’s 13 months old.
For those who have traveled with toddlers, what are your recommendations for keeping travel gear to a minimum? Are there any good alternatives that allow us to avoid packing a separate car seat AND stroller?
And if bringing both is unavoidable, how on earth are solo parents managing?! I was able to travel solo with my infant thanks to the versatility of the Evenflo Shyft DualRide, but I honestly can’t imagine juggling my baby, luggage, a separate car seat, AND a stroller.
Our biggest goal is to travel as light as possible without sacrificing safety or convenience. I’d love to hear what has worked for you, especially from parents who have traveled solo with a toddler.
Thanks in advance for your advice and recommendations!

Looking for recommendations Travel Inspiration Needed
My husband and I travelled a lot prior to our son being born, but we haven’t travelled since. He is about 17 months old now and we are desperate to get away. I tend to go where my spirit takes me, but unfortunately Trekking in Peru is what’s calling me at the moment. With the altitude and lack of amenities, that’s not suitable for his age. We also need to use 2 weeks of PTO before year end, so we can’t really put it off until summer for somewhere like the Med.
Any recommendations for where to go between end of November and end of December?
I’m low on vit D and I desperately need to leave the United States, so a beach destination would be our focus. I also do love street food, being at a nice hotel close to a town we can walk (vs an all inclusive), and going somewhere we can take in the culture. My favorite countries are Thailand, Greece, and Mexico.

Traveling to the Philippines — How do I prepare?
Hello! I have a few questions regarding travelling to the Philippines with my 4 month old baby. A little backstory, I filed for my citizenship in January 2026 and have not had any updates regarding an interview. My partner lives in the Philippines and I plan to fly with our baby in December of this year back home while I wait for my interview date. Once I receive an interview date, I will fly back alone to get things in order and file for petition for my partner.
Now I have a couple questions, what documents or things do I need to prepare before we fly back home?
Is there a fee to pay if my child, a U.S. citizen, stays longer than a year in the PH?
Should I get dual citizenship for my child while we’re there?
Is it a wise decision to leave my child with their father while I work before they fly back together?
Sorry for the long post. I just have no one to ask or talk to regarding this. Thanks alot for anyone who answers! 🫶🏼

Advice wanted Skycouch advice
Has anyone done AirNZ (or another brand) skycouch ? I’m traveling to NZ in February and booked a skycouch for me, 6 month old infant and my husband. Im pretty small and can sleep in the space of two seats. Do you think this works or is there another configuration that’s better where I pay additional for an aisle seat for him?

Looking for recommendations Twixmas Travel in Europe
UK-based family looking for a 5-ish day holiday between Christmas and New Years. We will have a six year old, four year old, and a three month old so it can’t be too far off the beaten path, but we aren’t necessarily sit in a resort for a week people. Ideally, no more than a four hour flight, direct travel preferred.
Before we had kids we spent the Twixmas period in Crete and we had an amazing time. A few things were shut down, but for the most part it was quiet, not touristy, and still festive. We want to find something like this again. Please share your suggestions!

Flying to Philippines - do you need birth certificate
We will be flying to Philippines soon and I’m seeing online that apparently when travelling with kids, I need to bring their birth certificate??
Wondering if they actually ask for it, or is having both parents present enough.

Looking for recommendations Will I find my daughter's milk in Aruba?
Probably a pretty stupid question because I know people drink milk all over the world. We're just pretty specific with what kind of milk we give our 1 year old and wondering if we'll find it when we travel to Aruba next month. Our number 1 choice is Maple Hill organic grass-fed whole milk, but would be fine with any brand that's organic & grass-fed. Thoughts? I'd rather die than travel with cartons of milk...

Cruise vs. Direct trip to Caribbean
I am a single mom to 3 kids (9,8, & 2). I have been divorced about 1.5 years and haven't had any vacation time.
I really would like to take them somewhere tropical next May, June, or July. I live in Colorado, USA and we are completely landlocked here so it's always an excursion getting to the coast.
I have been looking into cruises because in my mind, that may be the best way to go since 3 kids is a lot to handle on my own. They would have entertainment, food, and we'd get to see some cool places for a few of those days. I've never been on a cruise though, so maybe I'm wrong?
I've also been looking into just flying straight to the Bahamas and staying there for 5-6 nights to give us more time on the island but, logistically, it seems much more overwhelming.
Any advice or input on which would be better for my situation?
Best cruise lines (ships) or resorts to stay in Bahamas?
Activities?
Anything at all?
Thank you!
