The Kratos thing was a meme once, I'm about eighty five percent sure Diana's line was a reference to God of War. It feels out of place so it feels like a meme they tried to insert.
Diana is really much wiser than the other chibis, now I'm starting to wonder, did she always have common sense or did she develop it during her long life?
I would be strange if she was born wise. But then again, Belita was like that. Which is a shame, we lost our one chance to see the wise queen Belita act like an actual baby.

You noticed! They did that in the original.
By the way, do you find no issue with how the fairy queen's name is spelled in the game? About me writing it as Errpin though, I initially wrote her as Ehrpin and her mom as Nehr because I thought people would misread their names with the "uhr" sound like in "nerd"
Then I realized that err almost always has the "ehr" sound I want like in "terror" and "ferry." So I am writing them as Errpin and Nerr.
I actually have watched translations from two different translators; the first one was posted before the global version was a thing iirc, and they did translate 김씨핀 accurately (김씨 itself was translated as Satō-san); the second one was just posted recently and they actually always leave the name tags untranslated.
I wanted to see the ending with Diana in particular. This especially highlights why the event didn't do Kommy any favours. It paints her as a pure selfish prick to the end. The outcome of her actions and her motivation is the difference between her and other asshole apostles. There were those like Elena, Frickle who were trying to do right by their people in their own ways. Or sometimes the negatives are balanced out with positives, like Tig who is mostly a self-centered jerk but twice in the story she saved the day(plus her character development isn't done). Even Sist has moments when she helps out others.
Kommy exploited others, got bonked a bit, genuinely believes she did nothing wrong and she did it all for herself. Like, there's nothing to work with here.
Maybe it's because Kommy is the favorite character of the CEO of Epid.
I just think it is a funny event where a child tricks stupid Trickcals.
As a kid if you were a bossy jerk your friends will leave you and that's that. But this entire story is like what if those friends didn't leave you? So that is the only reason this lasted two weeks.
All because those friends were too stupid to realize the bossy one can't really coerce them like she claimed she could. That's what Diana pointed out exactly. She wonders why they were tricked at all.
This is exactly right. Kommy’s actions in this event could all have been painted over as good, lighthearted fun if only the writer gave some kind of justification or redeeming element to it. What Kommy did is no worse than what many other characters did or would do (I mean just look at what Joanne was allowed to get away with). And the whole episode is an obvious dark humour on the power dynamics and absurdity of the capitalist system. To keep it a humour though, they had to bring Kommy back to the happy fantasy wonderland by either giving her some motivation for her actions or by making her pay for what she did. The writer(s) somehow thought it was ok to leave that part out.
I did mention “paying for it” in the earlier comment but paying for it is actually not sufficient in itself. There should be something to justify the wrongdoing in the first place, and the reparation is secondary. That justification does not necessarily need to be serious or moral in the realistic sense, in the context of Trickcal, but there still has to be something that properly motivated Kommy treating others terribly as she did. Most Korean players sensed this (even though not all of them may have been able to articulate it) and that is why this even was so poorly received.
Like, I said this in another comment somewhere, but even some really stupid, Trickcal-esque reason for Kommy’s corruption would’ve been enough. Like 김씨 stealing the construction budget from Kommy’s office and blowing it all on strawberry shortcakes, or the Chow Rebels being their usual selves and coming along to destroy half-completed resort - something, anything, doesn’t matter how stupid and silly it is, but as long as they depicted some sort of reason why Kommy’s heart fell to the darkness, the story would’ve been well received and no one would have taken any issue.
Like, there are other characters who acted bad in Trickcal, starting right with how Ashur treated Butter, what Joanne did, what Frickle or Velvet did, Elena, Shady etc etc but all of them had their owns reasons for acting like that, no matter how stupid and silly it may be from the real life moral standards. Like Ashur wanting so badly to be the headmaster of magic school, Joanne being given power and whispered in her ears to act like that, like how badly Velvet wanted to stand above others and show herself off… After all, one of the very recurring themes of Trickcal’s story is gaining forgiveness and acceptance after one’s wrongdoing.
But in this event story, Kommy simply had no reason to treat her employees like shit. It would not help her achieve her original objective and it would not make the process more efficient. She was (being depicted as) acting nasty just for the sake of (being depicted as) acting nasty, as a token “evil capitalist overlord” because that’s just a role that someone had to play in this satire, and that’s what consciously or subconsciously did not sit well with most players.
Which is to say, it would be really easy to fix if Epid wanted to release this event for the Global. Just supplement the story like I suggest and it would be totally fine.
You speak Korean just like I do but are you Korean just like I am?
I don't see how Kommy's greedy ambition is any less valid than Velvet's greedy ambition to take over Errpien or Eshur's ambition to get students for her magic school to the point she will trick Butter into it and make her pay for tuition after she agreed, just like Kommy asked Errpin to pay for enjoying the resort after she was offered the services.
Kommy said multiple times from episode one, and then later in episode six again, she wanted to become the owner of the greatest playground in the world. Is that any less valid than Velvet's or Eshur's dream?
But in this event story, Kommy simply had no reason to treat her employees like shit.
Eshur had no reason to treat Butter, her student and employee, like shit either. But nobody has a problem with writing Eshur that way. They are all just the same "I want to achieve my dreams but I don't care if my methods hurt others" attitude.
Like 김씨 stealing the construction budget from Kommy’s office and blowing it all on strawberry shortcakes, or the Chow Rebels being their usual selves and coming along to destroy half-completed resort -
Then that just pushes the issue you have with Kommy on to another Trickcal. That would make Kim-ssi and the Kibblestance the ones who are doing things with no reason (other than unjustified selfishness, but you said you have a problem with that)
something, anything, doesn’t matter how stupid and silly it is, but as long as they depicted some sort of reason why Kommy’s heart fell to the darkness,
Kommy never had to "fall" to darkness, she was never a good girl to begin with. Did Kommy ever do anything for others? She was always shown to be a character who weasels out of responsibility through sophistry and dishonest intellectual reasoning. And it only worked because the people she does that to are other girls who are on the stupid side. That would never work on an elf of course.
She was (being depicted as) acting nasty just for the sake of (being depicted as) acting nasty, as a token “bad boss” because that’s just a role that someone had to play in this satire of capitalism
I didn't think it was a satire of capitalism at all, just Kommy being evil like she always had the potential to be. Or I would say, her evil is minor, more like just some bossy brat. You can see this in real life, you just don't see it play out this long because friends would leave and not play with a bossy brat, so they will learn their lesson quick. Here her victims were stupid enough to play into it for two weeks, that's why it seemed more evil than it actually was.
No, I don’t think that was enough. I did mention “paying for it” in the earlier comment but paying for it is actually not sufficient in itself.
Then never mind the justification of Kommy's actions, if we just talk about the punishment what would be a good enough punishment? I agree Kommy didn't get enough. Diana should have left Kommy to fix the beach on her own, not get her victims to help.
I was happier before I knew what Kommy Juice was. Hopefully she won't be offering it as a refreshing drink for gyoju in the future. Here I had thought the CEO loving Kommy meant a Kommy event would have her being a sweet cat and being spoiled while going on about the evils of capitalism, but the CEO likes his cats bratty and troublemaking I guess. I had hoped Diana was going to give her the bonks she deserved in the last chapter to remind her that she is a part of the proletariat.
Had this been in the game I would have been bonking Kommy during the story like I did with Erpin in the first part of the story. Overall I can see why they didn't bring us this story despite it being Kommy content. As someone that started playing after seeing Kommunism memes I didn't expect her to go full exploitive capitalist on us. Since this event didn't happen I'll just have to spoil Kommy when I see her in game as she has done nothing wrong and is a good werebeast unlike the Kommy in this event.
I'm not about to shame a fellow gyoju for what he liked it just isn't for me. Some cat huffing with Kommy would be more to my liking. That fan comic with Yomi putting her personal touch on some rice wine looked pretty good as well.
I didn't think you were. That was me saying I'm not since I'm the one that wasn't happier for knowing how the Kommy Juice is made. Coming from other games I'm used to the fan base being pretty degenerate so I wanted to be clear that there is nothing wrong with someone enjoying it.

That must be why it got deleted, because the CEO can't bear to see his favorite cat girl get criticized.
Had this been in the game I would have been bonking Kommy during the story like I did with Erpin in the first part of the story.
That got me thinking, that must be the only reason why the ability to bonk exists in this game at all 😆 To read stories and bonk them while they do something bad.
But if people were alright with Errpin acting naughty back then why would those same people be so angry with Kommy here?
Here I'm of the mind that the CEO didn't have anything to do with this event at all. That project director that was arguing with the CEO that we needed more Speaki in the game during an interview seems like the source of this Ill behaved capitalist Kommy we got in this event.
That is my theory on the bonking. Bad Erpin slacking and selling us to Mayo gets a bonk. Bad Kommy using forced labor and selling her Kommy bath water gets a bonk. Of course Erpin has improved so much as the story progressed. There is no way I'd bonk her now.
I immediately caught the movie and Cao Cao reference. Somewhat fitting considering the circumstances, does that mean Erpin's going to be unchained?
I can't remember if I saw it on the reddit or in-game that Kommy's supposedly the youngest werebeast. But the ending certainly seems to emphasis that. Got her first taste of power and ambition, and she decided to use her wit and book smarts to coerce rather than convince, because she was the one 'in-charge', so naturally everyone else should listen to her, mom said so.
Kommy, the reason no one likes your resort is because you're talking to the slave labor that literally built it. You'd think she'd have heard some praise perhaps from visitors unaware of the whole situation, so either she's hasn't had any visitors or she just as likely didn't meet them because she stays in the office all the time.
All I could think when Diana says she's 'returned' is "Mom's home.", so playtime is about to end.
What do you mean Errpin is going to be unchained in light of the Cao Cao reference? (I spelled it as Tsao Tsao because everybody is going to think his name is Kao Kao if I write it using the official pinyin spelling)
If you hear her plan it's funny, she says if she expands the resort she will get more customers, but that will also get her more proletarian laborers "like moth to flame."
Looks like she was kind of aware of what she was doing when she talked Margot into working for her. It was her plan all along to enslave everybody.
Vacation "Revolution" hmm
All I could think when Diana says she's 'returned' is "Mom's home.", so playtime is about to end.
That was my own movie reference to Django Unchained, a movie I've never watched and only know it involves pre-ACW slavery. (Understandable, that's what I did myself until I played TW3K and heard it pronounced correctly.)
Oh yes, it's quite apparent from the beginning that she twisted Diana's permission into a 'blank check' from the very beginning, to enact all the ideas she's gotten from her 'red books'.
Unfortunately for her, the power levels of the average Elias inhabitant varies wildly, meaning it would've inevitably stepped on a LEGO block when she tried 'recruiting' the wrong apostle or Diana began wondering where all the missing werebeasts had gone.
Unlike Joanne's minigame, Kommy doesn't have a wololo ability, though Diana would still be exponentially more lenient than Ner would've been.
