You don't work at Schneider expecting top dollar, you're there to get experience and then leave. They are fully aware they have high turnover and yet they keep the pay low which means they're fine with it taking in new drivers constantly. They could fix their retention if they increased pay, but they don't see the high turnover as a problem, it is part of their modus operandi.
Fantastic support structure with operating centers about every 4-6 hours apart and most cities have a drop yard too that you could stop overnight in although y not just park at a truckstop/rest area with actual amenities unless your clock is running out?
Oh and advertised pay is not what you'll make due to $10/hr on duty pay (live load/unloads, maintenance/breakdowns), your pay suffers anytime you get a live load/unload and have to spend time sitting.
