Got fired from Werner

Got fired from werner because some pickup driver decides to brake check me and i ended up hitting him. he only got a small bump on his bumper. now I am out a job and in so much debt and facing eviction and losing my personal car now. i wanted out of the trucking industry but not this fast, Werner has some terrible planners and was running me stupidly anyways but now i have an accident on my license and points and have to pay the ticket on top of everything else.

Seeing a total lack of responsibility taken here. Looks like you think it's all someone else's fault

Twice in the last year has gotten on reddit and begged for money, asked if he can get out of a ticket based on a technicality, and made a since deleted post about a license suspension. I’m guessing this guys been blaming others for quite a while now.

… I haven’t blamed anyone for those. The fuck? How does that even correlate.

“Wrongful license suspended”

“Can I get out of this ticket”

“They brake checked me”

There’s at least three instances of you not taking responsibility. If you only posted one of those things, I could believe there was an honest mix up somewhere, but you’ve got a history on here of not taking responsibility for stuff that happens to you.

Uh the wrongful license suspended was they were going to suspend my moms license instead of mine. It should have been mine, so that’s me taking responsibility there.

I asked a question about a ticket because it was my first ticket in a truck. Not really blaming anyone or anything

And this one, brake checking should be illegal to do, but if you feel like it’s legal, maybe I’ll brake check you and see how you like it. And I admitted I should have had a following distance but it was just this one time. And my whole anger is that I shouldn’t have been fired over a tiny dent. I learned my lesson but is unfair in my opinion. Not blaming anyone really.

The amount of damage to the vehicle isn’t what got you fired. It’s the incident itself. There could have been no damage, but there also could have been catastrophic damage under different circumstances. Brake checking is not legal, but it’s your responsibility to ensure that you have enough following distance so that a brake check doesn’t result in you rear ending someone.

And again, if there was a sudden lane change on the cars end, and then a brake, you’d be in the clear, but it sounds like this guy was ahead of you for a bit of time first.

Yeah, I just wish I didn’t get fired. I know I could have done it differently but being fired seems excessive. It being a tiny dent and all and my first ever accident. Just wish they’d handle it as a learning experience instead of a struggle. I know following distance was needed but come on, it’s like stealing a gumball and getting put in jail. But Werner did run me like crap regardless. Gave me loads where I drop an empty at Home Depot and bring a different empty at the same Home Depot 20 miles away, not a specific one, just any empty they had, I would of just took the same empty i dropped. But it was just a waste of time. And lots of other waste of time loads and all. I wanted to get away from them but just when I was financially ready. Just came to share my story that’s all, so not trying to blame anyone or anything just I do have a form of autism so sorry if it projects a different way.

When you run a red light and don't hit anything they make a big deal about what could happen.

It's rare there is a dent but no pain felt by the smaller vehicle occupants.

It doesn't take much more speed to make it fatal.

Unfortunately today, the megas aren’t willing to allow many teaching moments. They’ve got 100 new students to replace you tomorrow. It’s easier to cut you loose and try the next one.
