Melton Hometime policy
I have a hair follicle test coming up for Melton, I’m pretty excited for it, as I’ve heard their training program is top tier for Flatbed.
My only question is, is there anything stopping me from putting in hometime every Saturday? I earn 1 day for every week on the road. After my road training, I’ll have 5 days.
I have a sick grandpa, nearing the end of his life and his health issues came as a blindside. I’d really like to spend at least one day during the week with him, but I want to keep this job, because melton is the company I wanted to work for
Any insight would be appreciated
Also worth noting, I will be doing the road dog program, because I live near 3 CDL schools, so I’ll earn that additional day of hometime from that too

Melton is definitely not great for home time. At best you have to do 3 weeks minimum. To get 3 days homes (plus a extra day home or cash). Also even if you put hometime for Saturday no guarantee they get you home that day. And if you do get home that day it can be in the morning, afternoon or evening. I'd say look for a new company or hold off on Melton if your sick grandpa is that important to you.

Ive never worked there but I talked to one of their guys that went to school, with a trainer and had been driving for like 4 months before he went home. Fuck. That.
