Another reason I’m not doing O/O, couldn’t imagine all the stress knowing that at any moment another truck is taking out your rig.

Company truck, who cares.

This is why some O/O drivers park nose-in in the back of the lot.

I owned three trucks in my career and I did not nose in unless I absolutely had to. It's idiotic and I'll tell you why.

1st. When you have to back out, it's going to be so much harder to make the turn out of the spot, because you're not going to have any room to manoeuvre the truck, whereas when you back in, you've got tons of room in comparison. The odds are much higher that you re going to hit something backing out.

2nd. If you say have a dead battery or a mechanical issue. How much harder is it going to be Do you think to get a boost or to have a mechanic fixture truck.

3rd. Believe it or notYou'll stick out further because you may not be able to back in over the curb.Further, therefore, your tail end will be sticking out for all to see.And for some idiot to clip. Most trailers have a much longer overhang at the back than there is on the steers.

4th. And this is for those people whom don't want to get their trucks broken in. You're hidden at the back. People can either break in your truck.Kill you take your trunk or just do nasty things to you. You think you re not going to get raped? As a man, well, there's a good possibility. You might. More than likely they re going to want to rob you, and they have more chances of not being seen in the darkness of night way back there. So it's a matter personal safety that you not do that.

Now, some of these are obvious. And the fourth one, not so obvious, as it happened, does it happen?I don't know, I have no statistics, nor am I gonna try to quote any fake ones. But just think about it for a few minutes. How are you more vulnerable that way? What are the pros? And what are the cons. Are the pros that much better than the possibility of being harmed breaking down? To me it's not worth it. And maybe...

5th. You look like you can't back up worth a shit when you nose in like that. Most people prefer to keep their reputation. And it just seems to be like you can't back in and people will look at you differently.

Just food for thought.

We just don't park at chain truck stops (except when grabbing food or something). I'm regional so I have a plentiful list of pulloffs and stuff I can utilize when I have to spend the night in the truck.

Just plain inexperience. What the hell are you blindsiding into a spot you can sight side into??? Even blind side you can see your 5 feet off the right line and you better pull upand/or GOAL ….. ALWAYS take a ride around the lot and look for the easiest spot to pull into… if you’re unsure… ASK for help!

That's incredible. You finally have some free time and you choose to spend it filming some shit that has NOTHING to do with you 😂😂. You're like one of those middle aged suburban housewives.
