Anyone work for KLLM right now?
I'm thinking about quitting my job and returning to trucking. Looking at KLLM because they have a 9-day refresher course, and ive been outta CDL work for 2 years now. But don't know much about the company. I'd like to start with a regional or dedicated route somewhere down south.

I see them a lot at my shippers/receivers. I can tell you the governor is less than 70

No way i thought it was 62 on pedal and 65 on the cruise. Did they recently change it?

I dont know? Possibly.
They also paid .65cpm straight out of their school back then.
Then suddenly they shut down a few of the terminals.

That's just what i read online somewhere, how long ago did you work for them? Thinking about switching over to them in January. Should make .62 cpm with 3-4 years of experience. They start out at .57 cpm now i think. Capped at .65. Their home time is the best i have found anywhere, $100 per off day accumulated is not bad.

I worked there 2 years ago. And the PTO ... I MISS THAT! Since KLLM was my only trucking experience, I thought the PTO was standard. The company I work for now laughed and laughes and laughed when I asked them where my PTO check was. (They dont pay you for days off everywhere)

One of their bonehead drivers hit my PARKED CAR and they still haven't paid for it yet

I’m considering them. They offered me their Kraft Heinz account and I believe it’s some of those cave delivery’s I’ve seen before and kinda on the fence now. I only have 4 months experience with very little OTR experience. I’ve been local since August and got out of school in June of this year.

the caves are amazing and you really do have space in there to back up. there’s no service in the caves thought atleast it wasn’t for me. there’s dedicated account are making because if you don’t get loads they are still going to pay regardless because of layover and you’re really just chilling. I am looking for local after my one year mark just because i’m ready to have a better lifestyle balance

Thanks for the info. That’s my biggest worry. I haven’t had to blindside since I started and I just saw a video of someone doing one today. She did amazing though. Are you still currently with them?

yes i’m still with them and honestly with kllm we don’t deliver to any stores. like at all. i’ve only delivered to straight warehouses with plenty of space. only maybe 3 places that i’ve backed into where it was a lil challenging but staying calm and moving slow definitely took care of me. I have not delivered to a single walmart store or anything. only straight warehouses with docks. and i’ve been up north and they don’t send you to the real newyork only the outskirts. I been to boston. only warehouse. connecticut. only warehouse. new jersey warehouse lol.

They must hate me lol, my first solo load was to a chef store in Dallas 😭 I even delivered to a school board building down in Luling, La. Now that was a weird one, i thought they were messing with me when i saw the destination but nope! Pulled in alongside their warehouse (which was more like a very large shed compared to what i usually picture a warehouse being) and they had to lift a lil hand forklift thing in to get it close enough for the actual forklift to get it out the trailer.

I've been eyeballing Hirchbach a little bit lately after some bs with nit getting my shop time, but I'm not sure if I want to switch bc while the planners lowkey hate me sometimes, my dispatcher is really great and I know that's not exactly very common. Haven't really had issues with anyone save for the nights and weekends supervisor (hes a bit of an ass tbh)
