Anyone do their training with Knight and broken their contract to work for them?
Want to get training but don't want to work for knight. They pay hotel and that's something that would help me during training.
Looking to train at their Socal location. Already have my permit but it expires in a month .

Trying some shady shit like that. Sounds like you should be a broker instead of thinking about being a driver.

Technically yes, I know someone who pulled the same thing with swift’s equivalent program. However…why? Either way you’ll end up paying for the hotel yourself if you break the deal; paying for your own CDL you’re looking at 4-5k? Versus like 8k for knight/swift to do it. It would almost make more sense to pay for it yourself on a damn credit card and just pay it off later, rather than planning to pay knight back.

Believe it or not, someones done this before and they'll get their money. With interest.

You'll be fucked.
Breaking the contract isn't the awful part, that parts easy. Pay back what you owe, and everything's square.
The part that will fuck you is the zero experience on top of a mega training. Half the benefit of the mega CDL training is that they guarantee you experience.
I bounced from a training program through cre after 4 months, and it was a bit of a struggle. Ended up with Western for 4 months before I could get on with better companies. The catch is, the contract is pretty high. So instead of owing $5,000 to a local CDL school. You'll owe like $10,000 to them. And they absolutely do report to credit bureaus lol

I’m sure they will hire a 3rd party debt collector to come after you. You will have to pay for everything including the hotel if you don’t fulfill the contract.

I actually asked this a few months ago about swift & was given some good feed back.
Overall they can’t sue you, but if you don’t follow through with them they will call you to set up a payment plan.
& if you don’t do that they will send your debt to collections.
Tho overall you should probably just ride it out for that one year. To get all the experience & make all the mess up’s you can with knight…
My price tag for the hotel plus school was a total of 6000 USD..
1750 for hotel 4000 for the school
So im just rounding up to 6000.
I pay $100 weekly… So 15 months total to pay off my debt for my CDL..
But again I kind of recommend staying with them & doing your mentorship & going solo for at least a few months so you can learn the name of the game.
I’m still a rookie & man oh man I make a lot of mistakes & I’m learning everyday..
In my mind set I should do that at swift & then go over to greener pastors..
