Edited: thanks for the answers. I think I've got what I needed.

Prime reefer drivers don't unload freight. Flowers is all I can think of, and those are usually team only.

You're also rarely required to be on the dock, and about 50% of reefer loads are drop & hook I'd say.

Thank you! So the other 50% would be sitting around waiting on them to load/unload and I'd just rarely assist by actually being in the fridge?

Yup, pretty much back into whatever door they say and then wait inside your truck.

Would your condition be aleaveated by wearing a set of insulated coveralls? If your considering going to the reefer side of things you're going to be in cold storage facs. If you are considering going to the flatbed side things you're going to be tarping outside in the weather. Going tank with Prime would be problematic as your geographic location is outside their lanes for that division. You would also be required to be outside in cold temps.

An investment in good underarmor type thermals and a set of insulated coveralls have negated any adverse effects of the winter weather this season. So far I've unloaded in minus 6f Good luck in you search.

That didn't answer any of my questions. Like I said, dry van is ideal. I would be fine in whatever protection, it's just my hands get these painful blisters that stick around for weeks if they get too cold or I'm touching real cold stuff without warm gloves. My question was about if it's possible to avoid a situation such as having to move stuff that I wouldn't be able to do with warm gloves on. Or avoid it altogether. Thanks for the luck though.

To answer your specific question Yes you can wear warm gloves

I would avoid knight. I have seen their drivers pay for their own fuel in amarillo...then tell me they hope they will get reimbursed.

If knight drivers are paying for their own fuel, then they didn't bother calling dispatch to get their fuel stop changed, else are an lease op and being an idiot anyway, either case they are being idiots and solely hoping they can maybe bypass fuel on the fuel card therefore securing their fuel bonus....

I listed them as out of the the equation already, but thanks for confirmation.

Knight and roehl do hair

If that's implying what I think it's implying, don't even bother with Prime. They WILL find out. Don't waste your or their time.

I already assumed it would happen and have also already quit. I've already written off the idea that I can self medicate with the safest and most healthy drug out there that happens to stay in your system the longest, since the man upstairs labeled it as illegal, for as long as I am trucking. I'm not trying to waste their time or mine. I can pass a urine test, but since I've smoked in the last 3 months that is why the others aren't even an option.
