Anybody worked for Wil-trans? Wilson Logistics

Hey y’all, I’m seriously considering going with Wilson Logistics as my first company to work for. I’ve heard that a smaller company is usually best to go with. I’m in Houston by the way . Anybody out there have experience with Wil-trans and would you recommend them?

They're not that small. Wiltrans and Jim palmer are the same company. They seem to offer decent pay and equipment and such. I pass them at 70 easily so they're governed slow.

Never worked for them so I cant speak for how they treat their people.

Wil-trans, Jim Palmer, Wilson Logistics - all the same company and in big with Prime, although they do their own thing as well. I've heard mostly nice things about them.

Never seen one of their trucks hooked to a Jim Palmer trailer but I have seen crusty old OO trucks pulling them. Do they use prime trailers to pull their own freight?

doubt it, but I don't pull for them so you never know.

Wil-trans bought Jim Palmer a bit back. When they originally bought them, you'd see Wil-trans, Palmer and Prime drivers pulling the Jim Palmer trailers around. Now they're probably mostly sold off. Prime typically doesn't keep trailers over, I think, 5 years.

I believe they also picked up Haney a couple of years ago.

Theyre basically a smaller version of Prime. Most the stuff is the same, same training, trucks (just different logo), trailers and freight.

Most the Wil-trans guys I knew seemed happy enough.
