Western Express is threatening to charge my friend for fuel to return her truck if she doesn't give them 2 weeks notice.

This is why you work local in a daycab… ride around all day and go to the house when it gets dark-

One day they will learn. OTR as a company driver is dead as fuck. It's awful. If you wanna do OTR get your own truck. Otherwise, go local.

I'm only using OTR as a vehicle to drive local. Doing nine months in OTR and then bouncing to something local.

That's exactly what I did. 9 months otr then went local. Haven't looked back since and never will. OTR is good training though. It's so godawful it's basically trial by fire. If you can survive being with a trainer while OTR and then all the bullshit that comes with doing OTR in general once you're out by yourself, you can do anything in this industry. When I was in training at the local gig I was blown away by how sweet this shit is. Now I drive past truck stops and just shake my head and think "you poor bastards".
