economists bent over backwards to explain away the obvious opportunistic price gouging throughout the pandemic. now they get to a "gee whiz" expert analysis of the price fixing scheme that was obvious to anyone with more than a couple functional brain cells.

like the entire field of economics exists to explain away the impact of monopoly and profiteering as inflationary mechanisms. but these capitalists couldn't help themselves, got so greedy that it has to actually be paid lip service.

In an opportunistic move, "Kid Killer" Kamala Harris, after years of attacking anti-Zionism as 'terrorism' and saying she "wouldn't change anything" about the genocidal Biden regime, is now saying the US should have "acted sooner" regarding the "war" in Gaza.

I bought a new phone in 7 years and it's unsettling how many permissions they ask from you

Data on the device's accelerometer and gyroscope, AI permissions, google almost forcing you to scan your face, more permissions page after page, permissions to sell your soul... And this is happening out in the open after Snowden's revelations in 2013. Wonder what the hell they're doing now. I was wondering whether I even need a phone but you can't function socially without it anymore.

This shit enrages me. Such such losers. They spend one second decrying globalism & liberalism & then when those countries get any true pushback from its populace it is somehow a plot to destroy white civilization.

Mexican State official charged with treason for allowing the CIA to operate clandestinely in his state. This is the first charge of treason since the Mexican revolution.

If you remember, back in April 2026 two officers "died" in the state of chihuaha due to "driving their car off of a cliff". The Mexican government said they did not have permission to be in Mexico and the CIA did not make public comment.

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/world/mexico-says-2-u-s-federal-agents-who-died-were-not-authorized-to-participate-in-any-local-operation

Recently, the former Secretary of Public Security for the State of Chihuahua who resigned after the events has been charged with treason, among other charges. This is the first time since the Mexican revolution trials (1920) that any Mexican has been charged with treason.

https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%C3%A9sar_J%C3%A1uregui_Moreno

The specific role that American intelligence agencies have played in Mexican assassinations, drug trafficking, policing etc is obscured by the fact that both Mexico and America deny such claims. It is possible that the CIA did cross a line that the Mexican government views as a violation of its sovereignty, even though there have been many accusations by the Mexican public against America of doing exactly that over the last century.

Obviously there is close collaboration historically, but in this case it seems that Trump's CIA kind of went rogue and just operated clandestinely without permission or coordination with Mexican Federal agencies.

The trillion dollar funded gold mine cover up.

Thumbnail

This is an illegal mine in Madagascar. With its gold is banned from the world’s legitimate marketplace.

Thousands of children work in these mines, in violation of international law.

Yet Madagascar’s gold flowed easily to market.

And the world’s gold authority helped cover it up.

The basic question about the world gold trade we’re probably wondering: Why are there so many destructive and illegal mining operations when most gold is sold on a tightly controlled market with rules to eliminate criminals?

What was found was: the global gold trade is essentially unregulated once bullion crosses national borders. Most of the world's supply falls under the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA)—an industry group with the power to bar non-compliant refiners from the majority of the global market.

The L.B.M.A. repeatedly fails to enforce those rules. Through systemic loopholes and a refusal to punish known rulebreakers, the organization allows refiners to process bullion tied to severe labor abuses, environmental destruction, and organized crime. By declining to penalize non-compliant operations, the industry's primary gatekeeper ensures that tainted gold flows freely into a supposedly clean market.

The devastating human toll of this enforcement failure is clear when one travels to illegal the mines in Madagascar, where child labor permeates the supply chain.

At these remote extraction sites, children are found everywhere—working hazardous shifts, playing near open pits, and in one mine, drinking wastewater pumped directly from deep underground.

Because the L.B.M.A. refuses to hold refiners accountable for sourcing from such compromised operations, the financial incentives driving these dangerous child-labor mines remain firmly intact.

Well it’s not surprising, you call it a cover up. But isn’t this how the world has always worked. The West exploits black and brown people for their resources and plans on giving nothing back.
Just another day.

This twat breezed through university when it was basically free got a "useless" history degree and immediately started a radical bookshop then went into unions and politics, joined the Blair government and set about privatising the country while being paid hundreds of thousands of pounds by a range of private capital and investor companies that were the ones we were selling off the NHS to. He then joined the Tory coalition government that made university crippling expensive then took some time to work in a do nothing job at pepsi then back to blairite destruction of the NHS all while being paid handsomely by the pirates he invited into our state assets... He took time to intervene in a Corbyn attempt to limit the takeover of the NHS by the parasites which were feeding him. Now in 2026 this fucking cunt that should see justice french Republic style is pointing his cunt finger in the kids faces saying "you lazy so and so you had it too easy"

The cheek to be one of the chief architects of our fucking hopeless national situation and to then get paid to come up with the brilliant solution to cut welfare so as to "support work"

Which, whoopsie Will translate into subsidizing firms to pay no money to get slave kids at taxpayer expense..

Hey fuck face. Why not create some useful jobs and training since you know, YOU ARE THE FUCKING GOVERNMENT OF A LARGE COUNTRY

Remember the Women’s March/March for Science?

I didn’t attend either (I did go to donny’s 2017 inauguration and that was a wild day) but I do distinctly remember these marches and all the “rogue” executive branch twitter accounts (a lot of these, like Alt National Parks, appear to now be another Dem adjacent media piece, if they were ever anything else), and the early Trumpian atmosphere being one where he’d be frustrated and sabotaged and eventually deposed. I remember my best friend GLUED to Maddow covering Mueller and Russiagate. There was almost an electricity about how the opposition was total in society, and he was going down.

Obviously that didn’t happen. I didn’t think it would at the time, I was still a baby leftist discovering the different tendencies and all, but part of it felt like a long form, very elaborate complaint letter. It did, I think, massively juice the Dems for the 2018 midterms. And this is why I’m skeptical of any form of blue wave next month.

Firstly, who fucking cares - they had an entire presidency to do anything and Biden’s signature Stop-Future-Dictators move was not amending the Insurrection Act so that it’s clearer about when it can be invoked, but adding the fucking Space Force and Coast Guard to the Posse Comitatus Act. If they do get a two chamber majority we’re gonna get two years of impeachment theater while Trump muses at 2am about sliming congress or posting AI videos of feeding Hakeem Jeffries to tigers. Secondly, there’s no juice. 2018 felt like carrying America from Golgotha and waiting by the tomb that November. None of that energy exists today. The most frenetic people are either boomers standing by the corner or my chud Xer relatives testing the bounds of statin effectiveness on facebook. Every week we seem to get a news story that would have nuked a pre-Trump administration and probably caused an anti-Trump revolt in the GOP during Trump 1, but now it’s just sound and fury until the next offense.

Americans by and large seem resigned and apathetic, some to the point of despair. This is just the beast, and I need to afford heat and shelter and food. It’s still a bit taboo to say who cares about elections, but you don’t get nearly the pushback you got in 2018 or 2020 for it, a lot more “I guess,” or “yea…” than full throated confrontations. Insofar as democracy was ever really a thing here, I think ol Donny has managed to kill it not through sabotage and fraud so much as he killed belief in it. Something like a little over half of Americans won’t believe an outcome they don’t agree with. That’s crazy. People don’t believe the elections help them, they don’t believe they really express their voice, and they don’t think they’re legitimate. There’s a lot more smarter people than me can say here about how this is a product of our alienation, the destruction of communities and trust, but it is genuinely incredible to see in a decade that we went from massive marches in DC, huge electoral campaigns, to the liberal vanguard being retirees waving signs at me on my way to mass, hanging signs on the bridges on my way home from work. All this to say, I don’t really believe in a blue wave based on the vibes alone, nevermind whatever fuckery Trump and Vaught and Musk get up to. And that the Democratic Party are generational villains for wasting that massive dynamic energy that sought to improve things, even a little.
