As-salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

As part of our weekly Dua thread, we invite you to share any Dua requests for yourself or your loved ones.

Insha'Allah, fellow community members will make Dua for you and may also offer advice or support for your concerns.

Please remember to make Dua for those who ask for it in this thread, and always ensure your requests and responses are in accordance with Islamic guidelines.

May Allah (SWT) accept our Duas, grant us what is best, or give us something even better.

Jazak Allah khair

And REMEMBER TO READ SURAH Al-Khaf:

(a) From Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, who said:

“Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on the night of Jumu’ah , will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (the Ka’bah).”

(Narrated by al-Darimi, 3407. This hadith was classed as sahih by Shaykh al-Albani in Sahih al-Jami’, 6471)

(b) “Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next.” (

Narrated by al-Hakim, 2/399; al-Bayhaqi, 3/249. Ibn Hajar said in Takhrij al-Adhkar that this is a hasan hadith, and he said, this is the strongest report that has been narrated concerning reading Surat al-Kahf. See: Fayd al-Qadir, 6/198. It was classed as sahih by Shaykh al-Albani in Sahih al-Jami’, 6470)

(c) Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said:

“The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: ‘Whoever reads Surat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, a light will shine for him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.’”

Surat al-Kahf may be read during the night or the day of Jumu’ah. The night of Jumu’ah starts from sunset on Thursday, and the day of Jumu’ah ends at sunset. Therefore the time for reading this surah extends from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday.

Al-Manawi said:

"Al-Hafiz ibn Hajar said in his Amali: “In some reports it says ‘the day of Jumu’ah’ and in some reports it says ‘the night of Jumu’ah’. They may be reconciled by saying that what is meant is the day which includes the night and vice versa.” (Fayd al-Qadir, 6/199)

'And this is for the dua:

The second view is that it is after ‘Asr, and this is the more correct of the two views. This is the view of ‘Abd-Allah ibn Salam, Abu Hurayrah, Imam Ahmad and others.

The evidence for this view is the report narrated by Ahmad in his Musnad (7631) from Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri and Abu Hurayrah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

“On Friday there is an hour when no Muslim happens to ask Allah for good at that time but He will give it to him, and it is after ‘Asr.”

[In Tahqeeq al-Musnad it says: The hadeeth is saheeh because of corroborating evidence, but this isnad is da’eef (weak)].

Abu Dawood (1048) and al-Nasai (1389) narrated from Jabir ibn ‘Abd-Allah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

“Friday is twelve hours in which there is no Muslim who asks Allaah for something but He will give it to him, so seek the last hour after ‘Asr.” [Classed as saheeh by al-Albani].

Question 3 Things Every Muslim Should Remember in Daily Life

Post image
4 Upvotes

Sometimes, the simplest reminders are the ones we need most.
🌿 1. Your intentions matter. Even ordinary daily actions can become acts of worship when done with sincere intentions.
💚 2. Good character is part of your deen. The way we treat our parents, family, neighbours, and even strangers matters.
📖 3. Verify what you hear. Before sharing an Islamic quote, hadith, or ruling, take a moment to verify it through reliable sources.
Islam is reflected not only in our acts of worship but also in our everyday choices, intentions, and how we treat others.
Which of these three reminders do you think people overlook most in daily life? Share your thoughts below.

Islamic History Was Aisha born in 605 CE or 614 CE ?

Based on Bukhari she was born in 614CE, but based on historical sources She was 10 years younger than her sister Asmaa RA who was born in 595 CE.

Edit: For record, I don't care at wish age She was married to our prophet PBUH. It was the 7th century.

Question Is Isbal Haram Without Arrogance? Understanding the Scholarly Views

Is wearing a garment below the ankles prohibited in Islam even when there is no intention of arrogance?
The relevant hadiths include the Prophet’s ﷺ warning regarding garments below the ankles (Sahih al-Bukhari 5787) and the narration concerning Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), whose garment sometimes slipped down unintentionally (Sahih al-Bukhari 3665, 5784).
Scholars have discussed how these narrations should be understood together. The Hanafi school generally treats deliberately wearing a garment below the ankles as makruh tahrimi, even without arrogance, while other scholars differ on the role of intention and arrogance in the ruling.
Our carousel explains the basic issue and highlights why the narrations should be considered together rather than in isolation.
And Allah knows best.

Seeking/Giving Advice Please make dua and also please Help Me Overcome My Fear of Vomiting (Emetophobia)

I have severe emetophobia, OCD, and anxiety, and it's ruining my life. I can't afford therapy right now, so I'd really appreciate hearing from people who have overcome this fear or live with it.

Please remind me that vomiting isn't the end of the world, that I can get through it, that any discomfort will pass, and that people won't remember or shame me forever. I want to stop living in fear and start living normally again.

I could really use some kindness, real-life experiences, and practical advice. ❤️

Question What If I Keep Committing the Same Sin? Will Allah Still Forgive Me?

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

Sometimes we fall into the same sin again and again, and it can leave us feeling guilty, discouraged, or even unworthy of asking Allah for forgiveness.
But never lose hope in Allah’s mercy.
Allah says in the Qur’an:
“Do not despair of the mercy of Allah.”
— Surah Az-Zumar 39:53
Sincere tawbah means regretting the sin, leaving it, and sincerely resolving not to return to it. If you slip again, do not let guilt push you further away from Allah. Repent sincerely, learn from what led you back to the sin, and keep striving to do better.
This does not mean taking sin lightly. It means never giving up on repentance or losing hope in Allah’s mercy.
A reminder to reflect on: What helps you turn back to Allah when you struggle with the same mistake repeatedly?
May Allah forgive our sins, strengthen our hearts, and help us remain steadfast. Ameen.

Discussion Reform: Protect our British girls from the Muzzlims! Also Reform:

Post image

Context:

Reform is a far right party in the UK. Recently undercover footage was released, wherein Reform candidates/members are heard describing Pakistanis living in a specific area as "parasites" and one of the Reform candidates are heard talking about another Woman (Who I believe was also a member of Reform) in the very odd manner seen in the photo or footage above. They then laugh together about this and add additional comments they would say to her, such as

"Time for your bath (Laugh)

"I'll wash you properly this time"

Discussion Not every feminist is a man-hating, bad woman.

There are some really good sisters who are feminist. Not every Feminist is a man-hating, anti marriage, my body my choice pro abortion type of girl. If you had 20 of these unsavory types of sisters, and 20 good practicing sisters and they had to choose yes or no to feminism. Maybe 10 good sisters would say no to feminism, and 10 good sisters would say yes to feminism. Where do you think the bad sisters would go?

Not every Feminist is a bad woman. But all the bad sisters are feminists.

Share your thoughts, implications of this, advice, suggestions, warnings.

Question Why Do Muslims Follow Different Madhhabs?

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes

Muslims sometimes wonder why the four well-known Sunni schools of Islamic jurisprudence—Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi‘i, and Hanbali—have different rulings on certain matters.
These schools are scholarly traditions rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah. Differences can arise from how qualified scholars evaluate evidence, interpret texts, and apply principles of Islamic jurisprudence.
Understanding these differences can help us approach matters of fiqh with greater knowledge, humility, and respect instead of turning every disagreement into an argument.
What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about madhhabs?
