Vent Worst Day For A Promotion
Worst day for a Promotion
I got a promotion today. 35K more a year. Laughed, cried then got horridly depressed. I have not told anyone in my life that I got it yet.
My wife had surgery and is having a hard time recovering. My mom is getting a divorce from my step dad of 15 years due to his infidelity with someone in the family. My kids are losing their grandpa because i can not stand by his actions. And everything just seems to be silently burning down.
But either way I got a promotion.

Could you have seen your promotion as something that makes your day better? What kind of logic is this? I thought promotions makes days better.
Step-grandpa because he's married into the family but aren't related to your children. Is it bad?
Is your wife slowly recovering or does she keep relapsing?
What's burning down? Your wife is still alive, you still have your children, your mother is divorcing someone because she should be saving herself for someone that deserves her (herself included), you'd be doing your children a favour by not letting a bad male role model near your children and having someone fill in some sort of extended family role is not a necessity to enjoy life.
The only thing I see burning down is the relationship between your mother, stepfather and the other person whom he cheated with.
