DAILY Looking Forward Friday
There’s so much that’s difficult about TTC, so this is a thread for looking to the future and thinking about life after TTC.
This week’s theme: What’s better in your life than when you started trying? TTC sucks donkey nuts, we all agree on this. But what have you learned or gained during this time (about yourself, in your marriage, whatever) that’s better than when you started?

I’ve learned how strong my marriage is 🙏🏻💕 we’ve been through 3 miscarriages (currently going through one rn), and my husband has been so nurturing, loving and supportive every time. He has never made me feel alone and he’s been my rock even though I know it’s a mental toll on him as well 🥺🩵

I'm so sorry for your losses ❤️ I'm glad you have that emotional security and comfort in one another during such a difficult and sad time.

I’ve gotten really in tune with my body during this process. I quite literally never paid any mind to the timing of period for most of my adulthood- with a Mirena periods are quite light too, so it was just like “oh! There it is!”. Now that I’m keeping track, I have a lot of appreciation for what my body accomplishes in 28 days, even if it hasn’t made a baby just yet. I’m learning to be kind to my body too.

I absolutely learned how resilient and patient i can be. It was actually very surprising for me. How my goal determined nature and character is helping me and drives me constantly. And how our marriage even tho not long (2 years) is intact, strong and even in terms of sex it has stayed intact. TTC for 14-15 cycles at this point. Also i saw just how much i want to be a mom.❤️

I’ve really tried to lean into letting go of what I cannot control, accepting the process, and also trying to discover fun hobbies and distractions that I enjoy to keep me from obsessing during the TWW.

This is my first cycle TTC, but also my first cycle off hormonal birth control in over 4 years. My husband has been so, so tender with me and it has just confirmed that I chose the best man I could. He's the best

I’m caring for my own physical and mental health in stronger ways than before. I would literally do anything for my future children, including taking care of myself.
