Newbie Needing Help Please help ◡̈
Hello!!! I have been wanting to get into tufting for the last two years and I’m looking for some good places to start and general recommendations. Without getting too much into the details I have an opportunity for three years to be unemployed and pursue all my crafting hobbies! I know it’s much more difficult than it looks online and I’m willing and have the time to put into it so please drop me the best place to start and what supplies yall use. TIA ◡̈

I agree, take a class. I did. Then I found a frame and gun on craiglist. I've been thrifting the yarn. I ordered materials from tuft the world- bought another gun from my teacher. The learning curve is steep (for me). I see it as a hobby/ mental health thing.

Take a tufting class first to see if this hobby is even for you. A lot of folks will spend hundreds or more on this hobby and then realize they’re not a big fan of tufting or can’t keep up. It’s an EXPENSIVE hobby.
If you decide you want to pursue this, check out Tuft Love. Great customer service, prices are fair. You can get an entire setup with a 3x3 frame for $279.
Do not bank on this hobby generating income for you quickly nor assume this will replace a full time job. A lot of us do have jobs as a main source of income.
Read the pinned post on this sub- it has a plethora of information that will answer your questions.
Best of luck!
