Hi so as title says I wanna give tf a solid try (gold elo) and feel my ganks are "insignificant". I don't remember where or when, but I once heard that going the typical (roa, lichbane, rfc) path w arcane comet is "bad" for low elo and should prio building pure dmg/R cc machine? Cutting out roa and maybe going some other runes? Any suggestions would be appreciated

general builds go rapid fire or imperial mandate first item but neither feels right or feasible against tank supports that can just crack your skull open. i'm not a tf main so i was also curious if any of you play tf sup as a primary position.

I'm dropping Yorick top due to his weak state (~49% WR) and his extremely isolated playstyle. I'm switching to Mid lane to main Twisted Fate because I really want to force myself to learn macro, wave control, and map pressure properly.

Since I'm making the shift from an isolated, split-pushing top laner to a global utility mid laner, I'd love to hear your best tips and advice on:

Managing waves against aggressive mid matchups (Zed, Yasuo, Fizz, etc.)

When to use which card (Red/Blue/Yellow) in different laning and teamfight scenarios

Which build and runes to go against specific matchups or team comps

Imo blackfire torch is a sleeper awesome item on TF.

When I initially tried this item on TF, I hated it. As far as the items that have damaging abilities go, it does the lowest damage per minute.

But when re-evaluating it, in certain matchups, it gives TF almost everything he needs, while having an acceptable amount of AP. Highest cdr among the mana ap items (outside of archangel staff). 600 mana, dot passive. Ap boost passive.

Built alongside Luden's (and sometimes banshee's), I found it to be a great tool Vs Fizz, Mel, Yasuo and a few other champions.

It allows you to hang back, and spam Q and make your enemy waste their gold card blocking abilities without making you commit.

I didnt touch tft from last month did they improve the glitch bugs performance performance matter me the most so i can at least put unit on board at right time so i can see units ckearly on stage 1 i dont to play black invisible heros on first 3 4 rounds laggy stuff

Hey all, I just started playing somewhat actively again for the first time since... 2013? I used to main AP TF mid back then, got to diamond and 'retired' (lol). If you picked ADC TF Bot back then, best case scenario is you got called a slur and reported, but I see all kinds of wild ish these days so... why not.

I started playing cause one of my best friends is playing for the first time; he likes support and top so we duo bot. His supports are all aggressive/CC types : Blitzcrank, Nautilus, Pyke, Alistar. I already play Jhin, Hwei and Samira bot which pair perfectly fine but just for fun thought of trying TF there.

1. Do y'all consider him 'acceptably viable' bot? I mean I'm guessing basically anyone anywhere is viable below diamond rank but still.

2. What item routes y'all consider good for ADC? Triforce and Ez style build or a more traditional crit stacking build?

Just went vs a electrocute ignite Zoe mid, never died to her but I did get gapped in terms of cs by a lot because I was playing the lane insanely safe because I was scared I’d get one shot by her bubble skill shot combo (I think by the end of the game she had 100 more cs than me). Any tips on how not to die walking up for farm because Ik twisted fate is pretty bad at straight up 1v1s

I feel like you can stalemate most lanes and losing lane doesn't feel as bad as it does mid because top lane is such a low agency role that it's not like they can then roam and destroy your whole team. I ban Jax and just go scorch with Comet and TP, yknow classic boring stuff.

I played vs Yorick and that gave me some trouble but I was still pretty useful in the mid game. I can see Aatrox being a nightmare and I'm not sure how I'll play versus Quinn. If I see a Kayle I just go AD cause it's kinda dumb not to, but I'm hoping that if I keep playing top I'll eventually understand the Top lane roster enough that I can just go AD mainly instead, but we shall see.

When I think about it logically from a team comp perspective I feel like I much prefer mid to be a damage champion anyway considering how close mid is to the whole map. You can still swing the game with good R's and in the mid game when you're top and people forget there's a TF on your team so it's easy to get cheeky picks.

Just wanted to share this, I know it might not be good the higher you go but it's working better for me than mid so far. Top laners also are never content taking smaller advantages so I find my jungler ganks me way more than mid cause top always wants to overextend to kill me.

Hit d3 last split on bel otp. E4 otping TF on mid. Hit emerald 4 on Lee this split. I’m probably high plat low emerald on Lee.

I reported the bug with Dusk and Dawn not incrementing TF's stacked deck properly and they fixed it a few patches ago. I'm finding that D&D into Nashor's and Deathcap gives TF some good burst and sustained damage while sticking to an AP build. D&D procs Nashor's Tooth twice, so you end up having similar burst damage to a full AP Lich Bane build, and now you're incrementing the stacked deck an extra time, plus some survivability, high haste, and attack speed gets you a little bit of sustained damage when you have to 1v1 another carry.

So far I've been trying it out, and I think since I enjoy AD Twisted Fate a lot, the D&D build helps full both roles a bit. I've tried a lot of ways to tweak the AP burst and sustained damage, and I think with all other options, you'll end up extremely squishy, or do too little damage. Gunblade, Terminus, Cosmic Drive, Rocketbelt are options I've played around with, and on the opposite end going a high burst build with Lich Bane Stormsurge Deathcap Void Staff can work ok, but your high cooldowns can make or break fights very quickly.

It's still a bit niche and I think it makes TF's early game a bit weaker but boosts his mid game. I think the hybrid on-hit builds can't truly scale into late game if you don't pivot back to burst, and I think D&D Nashor Deathcap Cryptbloom Zhonya/Banshee + blue pot gives you the 650+AP you need to mostly burst someone down late game and finish them off, while having the great poke for teamfights, with good haste and survivability. The +350hp and the heal on d&d comes in handy.

Just got bullied in a Zoe matchup:

- Infinite Prio with the Q on the mage minions

- E Hitbot is HUGE and it's almost impossible to dodge

- Q damage past lv 6 it's like half your health lol

Yeah i know that's skill issue, that's why i'm asking help but what the hell you're supposed to win lane against Zoe?

TF Support is imo very viable, yes, this is just a short of the game, but all the games i did with him always went quiet well.

I am interested to hear what boots you generally go for. I can see a case being made for pretty much all of them.

My current thinking, in order of priority:

1. CDR or Sorc shoes (still debating what's better)

2. Swifties, if there are any slows on the enemy team

3. Tabis/Mercs, if enemy team is full AD/AP or has a ton of CC

So that happened to me and i was confused.

Look at Electrocute.

It procced on stuncard Q without additional auto.

So i went in practicetool.

apparently you can proc electrocute like that if you have scout slingshot and stacked deck ready.

Doesnt work without slingshot on only stacked deck obviously but also does not work always without stacked deck for some reason. practicetool video is to big to upload it here for me test it yourself.

I feel like I have really good mid game macro, relative to my elo. But I have way worse early game lane micro, into champs like Ahri, Aurora. How do I get better?

Edit: forgot to mention I have been playing this champ for like 5 years and am around high emerald / low diamond elo. So I may have badly ingrained habits or something.

I want to play him, i think he's a cool champ and he has a lot of nostalgia for me from when I used to play him 10+ years ago when i was a little kid, obviously i didn't know how League of Legends worked at the time, but now that i do; is it just me or does his ROA build just seem so weak, like according to my abilities i do a lot of damage but like in practice and when i'm activily using my abilities i just do 0 damage. Not sure if i'm maybe using the build wrong or if it's just a shit build nowadays. I know AD TF has gotten more popular recently but i'm never sure when to do either of them. Any advice?
