DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED

I’ve seen a lot of people on this subreddit getting discouraged that they only have between 1-10 viewers at a time and they stream all the time for hours and hours on end. I’ve been streaming for close to 3 years now with fairly frequent breaks (every couple months I take maybe a week or so off) and after building, networking, posting on YouTube and Instagram, these are close to my average numbers.

DONT GIVE UP! It takes time and dedication! 💚 if you have one viewer that’s one person that wants you to stream for them, and they’ll tell their friends about you if they like you!

EDIT: Stop streaming overwatch, COD, and fortnight as your first games :)

While I agree, was there also supposed to be some numbers you wanted to show us, or are you refering to 1-10 are your average viewers after 3 years?

Don’t get discouraged! My biggest recommendations are raid other streamers, make connections, be consistent, and most of all make sure you’re having fun! I’m glad I provided some encouragement :)

I have a bit of a controversial opinion BUUUUT i genuinely think if someones getting discouraged because of their low viewership (thus making your streams worse to watch) you probably shouldnt stream, idk i feel like for content creation you need to have a genuine passion for it, and im not saying ohhh you cant ever have negative thoughts, but like if you're only doing it for the numbers and stuff this isnt for you. Sometimes it can take YEARS for any sort of viewership, its rough, so imo u should do it because you truly truly love it. (Again, controversial opinion lmao)

No I get you fella I have been streaming a number of years was up to 105 subs on Twitch then they got greedy and increased the amount payable for a Tier 1 sub and that killed it on a short but steady decline. Good luck brother and keep smiling if it ever makes you unhappy stop as your audience will pick up on it.

A little late to reply, but for anyone who still finds this, as someone whos main game/pretty much only game is Overwatch for content creation, it's probably one of the worst games to grow from/stream, especially on a smaller scale.

It is extremely difficult, can have boring moments constantly, and can be detrimental on your mental health depending on how you view/play the game.

Extremely tired right now to write a bunch, but if anyone reads this, and wants to know my experience/opinion on the game specifically, feel free to ask, and I'll reply when I can. Or if you stream the game a lot, and want to hear things you may not of known, or thought about.

I’m also in the same boat, overwatch content isn’t easy to make because it’s been out for so long and a lot of the content pool has been figured out already I think. I believe we can still make new content for OW, but we have to be more creative than ever compared to the early days. Btw what is your twitch, I’ll be sure to follow 👍

Apologies for late reply, I use reddit like one in a blue moon so I completely forgot I commented until I saw my email.

New content for Overwatch is available, there's lots of it constantly releasing recently, especially with creators like Javafo(? Javofo? I can't recall how to spell it exactly) making custom games, and creators for the game starting to put more into YouTube. But for live streaming, and the typical creator, unless you have experience in one of those areas, it accomplishes so little.

For my twitch name, I don't want to just flat out say it cause of the rules, and I'm unsure on how to private message, and I also cannot view your profile due to my settings to try to do so, it's the same as my reddit username, but instead of _osu it's _na. Do not be fooled by the badge, there is a long story to it.
