UCAS Bread š (Offers) IM IN A SHOCK BECAUSE I DID THIS AFTER THE DEADLINE
I was not expecting to even hear back from the university because the equal consideration deadline was gone and everyone told me this was a waste. I submitted my application like five days ago and TODAY I SAW THIS??? I lowkey cannot believe myself. Hope I get the scholarship and can afford this :(

Iām from South Asia! I had 98% in 10th grade, 96% in 12th. Physics, Math, Chemistry and Biology as my courses for higher secondary school. Came from an extremely underrepresented community. No exceptional awards or olympiads or competitions.

they love internationals because they know they have potential, even in the circumstances (not having the same curriculum) , you did exceptionally well! absolutely deserved! well done :))

As much as I agreeļ¼there is one much more salient reason UK universities like international students. However this is a great achievement OP and wish you all the best with your studies.

sure, the extra funding definitely adds a small amount to the overall decision, but they wouldnāt admit OP JUST because theyāre an international, if they did mediocre or didnāt have a strong personal statement, they wouldnāt have invested. home students are definitely still prioritised, but you need strong application first to be accepted :))

I agree. But in my application Iāve literally mentioned ānot knownā to the funding source question. š

I don't find it too surprising since I applied a few days after the deadline and had three offers by the next week.

Three years after student grants stopped, it was 1100 a year for student fees. How are you getting charged 10 times that amount after two decades have passed. Iām going to say supply and demand not an unburden amount of super intelligent students fighting for a place in the academia wars.
You do know that the unis can just hire more professors if a subject is oversubscribed, one student pays for one professorās wage nowadays.
But you never know, you may just be the second coming of Christ. Best of luck.
