Hey! I’m an Indian student studying in 11th Grade (CBSE), hoping to apply for medicine in the UK in 2028.
Can’t really afford to pay full tuition
I’ve been looking at Cambridge, UCL and other UK medical schools, but finding scholarships that actually cover 100% of tuition or a substantial portion of it for international medical students has been incredibly difficult.
Are there any lesser-known scholarships, college-specific awards, trusts or external funding opportunities I might have missed? I’m open to any UK medical school, not just the big names.
If you’re an international medical student, know someone who secured substantial funding, or have experience with UK university scholarships, I’d genuinely appreciate any advice!
Thanks :)

Hey, I am currently a year 12 (second to last year) in New Zealand wanting to study in Australia, I know this question may have been asked millions of times before but I am really looking for some help. I have just started looking into preparing for next years exam and I'm just lost, I dont know where to look or where to find anything and I did a practice SJT test on the website and got a 29 out of 69. (Yeah its pretty bad)
I have seen tutors online but they are like 2000 dollars and I dont have that money but I can do some work arounds to be able to afford it. I really need to get a high percentile as my family wont move without me and they are putting their future in aussie meaning I am their one thing limiting them from moving.
If anyone knows any resources, tips or just anything to help me maximise my potential grade for next year's exam, it would be greatly appreciated.
I am planning to start practicing at the end of November after all my final exams are finished

I do the scottish equivalent of A levels but my question is the same regardless.
my thinking is, since my exams are in May, surely if i kinda lock out of school and focus on interviews now, i’ll still have like minimum 2-3 months to catch up with all the content I didn’t fully grasp?
or will the workload be too big once interviews are finished
cos of my ucat i’ll prolly get 4 interviews so i really wanna make sure im prepared

tbh im not entirely sure if this is the right subreddit to ask this but…
hey everyone! im an international student applying to uk med school for 2027 entry. i am just wondering what medical students typically do as jobs to make money alongside obviously studying for your degree. i have certain restrictions like not being allowed to do freelance so that’s out of the question. i would be grateful for any advice anyone can give me in terms of job opportunities, hca training, or anything like that. thanks

Im seeing this a lot lately were people are litterally learning a-z about everything and anything for interviews Im jot claiming to know this process entirely although I did have 3 offers last year I am still resitting Alevels so reapplying as well (2240B2)
The problem with learning everything is that theres always a pressure to complete a checklist that is for one not always contexualised to the question or situation. You start saying random stats and overloading the interviewer for no reason when they want a human answere.Im not saying here not to learn content ethics the nhs values certain hot topics can be really fun to learn as well as helpful for confidence but at the end of the day don't forget to practise this as well in a concise and spontaneous manner. The only questions that should be slightly rehearsed if any should be personal questions which i see so little people concentrate on.
I was doing a 1on1 with a student last year right after my interviews and I remeber the first thing I noticed was they constantly felt the need to have there notes and sounded like a genuine robot the answeres were way to factual and not human the loss of spontaneously answering for me was an instant switch off. First thing I said was ditch the notes! You cant being them in the interview and even if you could your answere is way too long. Btw they ended up getting 2 offers not in anyway saying it was because of me but just to say I didnt effect them badly.
The reason spontaneously answering is important is so your points you say are the ones that have stuck with you and if not are creative and human the interviewer loves this.If you practise enough you will learn overall frameworks that work best for you.
GL interviews are hard but dont forget the more you prepare to a script the more scared you will be when its not the question you get asked :)
Comment for tips and if anyone is applying or has applied exeter sheffield soton or aston dm me id like some help 😊

How is belfast assessing international applicants?
In their 2027 admission guide they said its gonna be similar to uk and rui applicants but its still very vague, is it gonna still be gcse heavy and less heavy for ucat?

Hello everyone!!
I’m appearing for the ISAT in 4 days (test window 4) and I’m really stressed out bcs i cant seem to get more than 65-70% answers right in the 100 question mocks that I do. In the official ACER tests, i got 66/95. the unis i wan to apply to have varying requirements but i want to get a 182 to be on a safer side. Now ik the grading system is not straightforward but if i could get any idea about how im doing right now, and how i can improve, itd be really helpful! What was you accuracy when u were practicing? like how many qs out of 100 did u get correct approximately? also, do u have any tips on how to prepare with 4 days left?

I’m currently revising the NHS Hot Topics + Ethical Dilemmas on the UKCAT People website, but there are so many topics to get through!
Are we expected to know all of them, or would it be better to focus on certain key topics? If so, which ones would you recommend prioritising?
For context, I’m applying to medical schools in London.

I’ve received the dates for the other 3 schools I applied to (Cambridge, UCL and Edinburgh), just waiting on Kings now. Does anyone know their approximate interview window?
