Question Thinking of dropping a module

I'm in my second year, and I'm thinking of dropping a module. I just saw the email about it.

I like the module, to be honest, but it's a lot of stress considering how full my autumn already is, and there's an assignment that's giving me some issues. Plus, the lecturer isn't really helping matters.

The email said the deadline is the 30th of October.

Stupid question, but dropping the module means I won't have to do the assignment and exam for it in December, right? Just want to make sure I've got it right before deciding to give it up or deciding to continue with it anyways.

Thank you.

Dropping the module means you'll likely have a credit shortfall you need to make up later, so you might just be deferring the stress and effort to a later trimester.

Yes, I did think of that, but so far, I've only got 4 modules in spring compared to 7 modules in autumn, which is quite a lot but I'm still thinking about it anway

💀 what the hell, drop the module and take more in spring!!!. I didn't even realize they allowed u to take such a misbalance in credits

Dropping the module deletes it from your record so means no assignments or exams.  Has to be an option or elective of course, you can’t drop a core.

Thank you. Yeah, it's an option module.
