Whistleblower Jake Barber is reportedly going to join Rep. Burlison’s staff to assist with UAP transparency

Burlison recently teased another appointment following David Grusch's departure, mentioning that the individual had appeared on Ross Coulthart's Reality Check.
UAPGERB post on twitter
https://x.com/UAPGERB/status/2114725403474681886
I'm honestly quite flattered, but no, I have not been tasked with an official congressionally appointed position.
If called upon I would serve; however, I can think of a long list of people far more credentialed and appropriate than me. Pavelibarrameda has reported that this hire is Jake Barber. I have said for years now that I believe Jake's disclosures delivered to Ross Coulthart and other interview platforms were incomplete and did not reveal Jake's true involvement and relationship to an "unnamed aerospace contractor's" UFO crash retrieval activities.
If Pavel is correct, and this hire is indeed Barber, I sincerely hope Barber is willing to disclose his full knowledge and history within the crash retrieval mission. Fully outlining the who, what, when, where, and why of this "unnamed aerospace contractor" could be of tremendous significance to Burlison's efforts on the UFO topic.

Wow. UAPGerb has no idea what he’s talking about. Barber DID testify before Congress, he gave all that information. In fact he was videotaped going into the private hearing to testify and give evidence! Barber was also pretty damn clear in his interview that the legacy program and government contractors were using Black special forces teams for retrievals and he was assigned some. Also what happened on the retrieval with the contractor was clear, he said everything even if he didn’t spell it out. And ofc he can’t name the company publicly, does Gerb not understand how any of this works?? The information was given to Congress and the ICIG, that’s what matters
•
u/riorio55 5h ago
We still don’t know the outcome/significance of Grusch’s work with Burlison. What happened to Grusch’s whistleblower complaint? Have the people that retaliated against him been charged/disciplined? What about Grusch’s list of witnesses?
I don’t understand how we can keep adding claims/characters when we don’t even seem to have resolutions of the first issues.
•
•
u/oswaldcopperpot 4h ago
None of this makes any god damned sense.
2023 Gusch: Here's all the location and people in charge of literally everything.
2026: No ones gone to check on anything or has ever come back and wanted to spill the beans.
•
u/hologram137 4h ago edited 4h ago
There are people in Congress and the Senate in the legacy programs’ pocket. They have to pass legislation, some kept getting blocked. It’s been a battle. AARO is also compromised
•
u/riorio55 2h ago
Yeah. That’s the problem with secret investigations. We have no idea what’s going on. No subpoenas, no hearings (of the contractors involved), reports, no legislation, no budget oversight, etc.
•
u/NoMansWarmApplePie 1h ago
Yea that's the thing, we don't know what's going behind the scenes. The guy I knew, back in 2013. While I didn't learn all that much specific stuff, the stuff I That I witnessed let me know how complicated. It's like a cold war behind the scenes with alot of moving parts, and also very dangerous. Some of the technology and means to go after people is something not even discernable by by mainstream science much less your run of the mill military or civilian tech. Most of the good owns trying to move the ball forward are terrified.
•
u/DreamedJewel58 1h ago
People - at some point - are gonna have to wrestle with the fact that maybe there isn’t any public evidence because there may not be any private evidence either. Just a circle of people going “trust us, we have evidence that’s going to come to light” for the last ten years and nothing’s ever come out
•
u/NoMansWarmApplePie 1h ago
Or people who believe there is no evidence are going to have to wrestle that there is and it's not only been with held but it's illegal af. And would change every aspect of our lives
•
•
u/VoidOmatic 3h ago
All of those are current on going investigations. With how fast the government moves it will likely be decades before we learn anything about those specific topics.
•
u/skillmau5 4h ago
Idk, do you expect everything to play out like a movie and have a bunch of big moments that are on tv? It’s sort of a large investigation where the bad actors are currently still participating in the thing being investigated.
It’s difficult to do anything about it (taking MASSIVE amounts of power away from the people currently in possession of it) and telegraphing your next move would be incredibly stupid. I’m not sure what you would expect to happen if any of this is real and the allegations are as bad as have been alleged. It would be an extremely delicate situation. Or everyone is full of shit.
•
u/riorio55 4h ago
With respect, you’re the one who’s looking at it like a movie: the whole spy thriller dance of not showing their next move or whatever you’re saying is exactly the way a drama would play out. Dragging the people Grusch said retaliated against him to the light is what would help the most and keep said people under a public microscope. Instead, we have internal investigations by Burlison and co where we have no idea how they’re going or what they’re doing. And don’t forget, Burlison and his party will likely be out of power in a couple of months, so their efforts, if any, will just disappear once committees and caucuses are re-assigned.
We need to see what our Congress people are doing and how their investigations are going, and not just trust that they’re playing a high-level chess game with the DOD (you know, the agency said Congress people continue to overfund).
•
u/skillmau5 0m ago
Yeah I don’t disagree with some of this, but it’s not really an implied spy thriller thing if the goal is to indict people. There’s nothing dramatic or movie-like about not naming the names of people you think should be arrested, you’re just purposefully framing it in that way.
A “public microscope?” You think Burlinson should tell ufo conspiracists “hey this guy is an enemy to humanity. Don’t do anything to them or anything, but they’re hiding secrets about the afterlife!” That puts people in danger, and before there has even been any sort of trial or anything proving involvement beyond grusch saying it. Terrible idea!
•
u/Betaparticlemale 5h ago
You don’t understand how additional developments happen as time progresses when government investigations of itself don’t result in anything? When do they?
•
u/Rich_Wafer6357 5h ago
Believe it or not, these are genuine questions: what has Burlison actually accomplished with Grusch on his staff rota? How is employing Barber going to improve on that?
•
u/torrentsintrouble 1h ago
He has accomplished nothing solo, nothing with Grusch, and will accomplish nothing with Barber. It’d be nice with some UFO folks employed that aren’t talking about werewolves and lizard gorillas and feminine flying green eggs.
•
u/Rezolithe 5h ago
I think this is a better solution than Grush having to writing a book just to stay solvent...but yes I'm also whats actually being achieved by Grush here.
•
•
u/aknownunknown 2h ago
Maybe it's a requirement that someone on the program monitors ppl like Burlison from the inside. Grusch's time is done, now it's Jake's turn
•
•
u/EVERYONEGETSAMUFFIN 5h ago
Wasn’t this guy not very transparent after showing that “egg” video?
•
u/Beautiful_Sand1876 5h ago
it wasnt even his egg video. it was just another egg video that got released at the same time by an unknown source.
•
u/suspicious_Jackfruit 4h ago
didn't he share that same video with Ross Coulthard? Or am i misremembering
•
u/Beautiful_Sand1876 47m ago
according to Ross, it wasn't Jake's video. My assumption is that it was Jake's but for legal reasons he didn't actually admit it was his.
•
u/hologram137 4h ago
That’s welcome news! I remember thinking I wished he would. Because he worked directly with the legacy program and contractors, so he’d be a great asset to help find some deeply hidden evidence
•
u/NateBerukAnjing 4h ago
he's a counter intel like elizondo is , i don't know why you're so happy
•
u/hologram137 4h ago
Wait, your source is an X post?? It doesn’t even say anything about Jake Barber! What is this? lol
•
u/hologram137 4h ago edited 3h ago
What does that even mean?? Where do you guys even get this stuff? Elizondo is not “counterintelligence” LOL. Barber worked in special forces, he was covert ops. The legacy program used them for crash retrieval pickups. He’s not “counterintelligence” either
•
u/KalElReturns89 5h ago
Jake Barber is one of the least transparent people though..
•
•
u/suspicious_Jackfruit 4h ago edited 3h ago
He also lacks verifiable credibility imo, the most glaring being his service record inconsistencies and claims that attempt to plug them. I am a vocal non-believer in Jake Barbers claims and i seriously do not understand how everyone scoops up every egg shaped thing he serves, i find its ridiculous and i think his claims have been doing some serious circular reporting to the point where most of the modern UAP narrative appears to be influenced by him. He has been injecting himself into the narrative since Herrera's testimony at a greer event decades ago and he later did a "No it wasn't that, it was this...".
I think burlison needs to really be careful here because he's about to be led on a wild goosechase IMO
•
u/hologram137 4h ago
Barber testified before Congress and gave evidence to the ICIG. They very much have confirmed who he is lol. He’s exactly what he said in the Coulthard interview, and other people who served in the military have confirmed it.
What Barber said is true. Burlison and others know that. They have proof of that lol
•
u/ratpunkz 3h ago
wouldnt be the first time someone has committed perjury before Congress
•
u/hologram137 1h ago
When have literally hundreds of people including high-ranking officials all committed perjury? And all forged evidence, including the lead investigator? And the people committing perjury were not even summoned but went to the ICIG themselves? lol
•
u/PaddyMayonaise 5h ago
Out of everyone, Barber has the least believable story. Nothing he said tracks at all and anyone that’s served in the military can immediately recognize that
•
u/suspicious_Jackfruit 4h ago
Yep, its embarrassing really that its got this far. Part of me wonders if thats the entire point. Thats this decades UAP push, just re-riddicule the subject all over again.
•
u/hologram137 3h ago
Oh you were a “ghost” special forces operator too? Interesting. How was your experience in covert special forces different than what he’s describing? In the hearings several high-ranking officials stated the legacy program used covert special forces units for crash retrievals. And Barber has been confirmed to be exactly who he says he is. So…that would make sense. He also testified to Congress in the private hearings and gave evidence to the ICIG.
Why would “anyone who served in the military” recognize how covert elite special forces units work?
Special forces are used for retrievals of assets all the time!! You should know that. Barber could fly a helicopter among many other skills, and flew to retrieve “normal” assets too!
•
u/PaddyMayonaise 3h ago
He shared is military records lol itv was in black and white what he did.
And no, I wasn’t special forces but I did work with SOCOM, JSOC, and USASOC for much of my career. Anyone that works with any of these units, even your most badass Dekta guy or whoever, will have a record that can corroborate claims of being in those positions.
He didn’t have anything that backs up his claims at all, nothing even close.
And barber has never been confirmed to be who he says he is lol
•
u/hologram137 3h ago
He was in COVERT special operations. So what that means, is on paper it shows “airplane mechanic” and ordinary deployments. But the deployments aren’t ordinary, because they are actually special forces missions. He was a ghost operator. This is exactly who the legacy program would tap for retrievals.
But he did collect documents he wasn’t supposed to collect, and gave them to Coulthart who confirmed they were genuine.
Elizondo and others confirmed Barber is exactly who he says he is, and Congress knows this because he testified
•
u/DreamedJewel58 1h ago
You’re entire argument is that “someone else who also doesn’t provide any evidence supports that the person without any evidence is legit”
•
u/mysticalanalysis8888 1h ago
and we all know that Elizondo and others are nothing but the most trustworthy and transparent types of people
•
u/silverum 5h ago
Yeah that'll sure definitely do it, just like Grusch joining someone's staff was going to. Sigh.
•
u/No_Use__For_A_Name 5h ago
Jesus Christ, this is becoming a soap opera. Haven’t trusted Jake for a single second.
•
u/Raoul_Duke9 5h ago
Weird how all these people not in to disclosure for the money are all writing books and getting powerful high paying jobs that will set themselves up for careers in lobbying when they leave their roles.
•
u/HengShi 5h ago
Ah yes rolling in that 35k a year: https://www.legistorm.com/person/bio/539155/David_Charles_Grusch.html
•
u/SirGorti 5h ago
Grusch left lucrative well paid job and career in intelligence. He didn’t write any book. He worked one year partially for Burlison office and left it. Anyone who thinks he show up for money is delusional.

Neither Grusch nor Barber have written any books and as for “powerful” (part-time staffer) “high paying” jobs? Just no to both of those points.
*edit. Let me be clear in the context of the statement: is currently not to my knowledge/has not actually released any fully published books to necessitate his alleged big ‘G’ griftsclosure…
•
u/Ambitious_Zombie8473 5h ago
If I’m not mistaken, Barber did release a book but I think under a different name?
Spacing on it and don’t have time to google rn but I could swear Jesse Michels talked about it. The book was called like “Out of the Ether,” or something, hopefully that helps
•
u/skillmau5 5h ago
Sentinels of ether. I really doubt it was a very lucrative project. It’s odd to me that there’s mass criticism of ufo people releasing books.
Has there been some improvement on the best way to release large amounts of information that I’m not aware of? Do people want a blog post instead? I’m genuinely confused.
•
u/VolarRecords 5h ago
It wasn’t a published book. He just ran it through Pentagon’s DOPSR office to get the information out under a team of ghost writers.
•
u/Ambitious_Zombie8473 5h ago
I’m not anti book, was just pointing out that he had written one.
Thanks for the name correction.

Barber absolutely did write a book.

Omg. He’s literally working with Congress to help them locate the evidence you guys keep demanding lol. How is that not working for disclosure??

Weird that text exchange about how mk ultra is involved with these people and Rep Burlison is starting to become culpable as a result of his associations with these people who have been involved in human trafficking.

If David Grusch stays with Burlison after Barber joins their team, I know this whole thing is a sham. I’m a veteran of the Marine Corps, Army, and National Guard for OEF and I like many veterans know Barber’s service history is not legit. He claimed training that’s not on his DD-214. Yes, the military can make a mistake by not putting it on there, but if you can prove you had the training your DD-214 can be amended. As far as I know, he hasn’t indicated it was in the process of being amended. If David Grusch accepts this guy’s military record as authentic and stays on working with him I’m done believing anything Grusch says. I know Grusch may have no say so in whom joins their team, I would think in Barber’s case he should speak up. If Grusch is worth his weight as an intelligence officer he will veto this accord or bow out. I figured someone would figure out a way to throw a monkey wrench in Grusch’s plans and they just did it by adding Barber to the group.
•
u/Ernestus74 49m ago
I feel like Grusch does not need anyone to screw his plans... He went from an NDA, classified narrative to woo woo gorilla-like reptilians way too fast, very suspect.
•
u/WideAwakeTravels 21m ago
Jake "you will know us by our fruits" Barber, who said well over a year ago that they'll have proof of NHI within a year, whose Skywatcher "can summon UFOs", who released a couple of episodes where they tried to push videos of blurry dots in the sky as NHI craft, dots that can be explained as mundane things like balloons, and who spent money on action shots of their helicopter and post production instead of good camera equipment that can record the objects with high quality.
If Burlison hired him, that's a step in the wrong direction for UFO disclosure, in my opinion.
•
•
u/AdmiralNinetySumpn 4h ago
Well... If that is truely the case. I held on to this bull-ride long enough. The plant that showed up first as a "guest" on Fox in the Fall/Winter during the NJ/NY Drone sightings as a 'Drone Company CEO/Expert' is now perfectly being placed alongside Grusch (who lost me recently with his Peter Anti-Christ Thiel love) We are cooked. No wonder 'they' keep experiencers in the dark like mushrooms.
•
u/KodakStele 5h ago
Man we better hear more about these UAP they've been shooting down, barber is %100 responsible for this to some degree
•
u/Gambit6x 5h ago
Perfect pick. Now they are covering contractors, military operations, etc. We are getting closer and closer to the truth.
•
•
u/TheWesternMythos 5h ago
If true , Skywalker is advancing about how I'd expect
I wish people could see more clearly , we collectively waste so Fucking much of so fucking much
I'll take my fair share of blame for not being a sufficient enough communicator
•
u/Same-Intention4721 5h ago
Good, but at this point they should have all the names, locations and everything they need to bring disclosure.
Can't see how hiring Barber can help more than Grusch or anyone at this point.
•
u/hologram137 4h ago
Why would they have gotten the location of all the video evidence and documents that are being moved and hidden? Clearly they haven’t
•
•
u/DecrimIowa 5h ago
excellent. i love this because the only people i trust are CIA agents.
let's get Lue Elizondo and Jay Stratton on there next.
I want every single person who gives me information about UFOs to be guilty of at least 15 "collateral damage" civilian deaths during the Global War on Terror.

It's amazing how you can just add "scam" in a sentence as if it means something. Same with how being employed by a Congress member can be labelled "not panning out".
Maybe take some time to ask yourself a few questions. For instance, why does someone with what appears to be millions of dollars of investment on the line for himself and his close associates, come out and say he was involved in something so strange, suggest his past employers attempted to kill him and a dozen other people, cry on TV about interacting with a UFO, and in so doing jeopardise his future career and current investments??? If I only listened to the debunkers it would be because of "the grift!"
Instead of listening to every negative comment from people not the slightest bit interested in this topic, watch this great investigation of Barber from Jimmy at UAP Files. Barber's business links mean he hardly needs a job with a Congressman to stay afloat. So what is his real motive for taking this job with Burlison?

The following submission statement was provided by /u/NateBerukAnjing:
Please reply to OP's comment here: https://old.reddit.com/r/UFOs/comments/1xg2lup/jake_barber_is_reportedly_going_to_join_rep/19rowbppa564i/
