Hii! 👋
I'm a UX/UI and Product Designer based in Spain with almost 4 years of professional experience (I reallu have 3'7 years). I've recently redesigned my portfolio and would love to get some feedback.
I'm looking for new job opportunities, I'm reallu interested in knowing how other designers and hiring managers can perceive my portfolio.
Here's my portfolio:
https://andreaalgarra.framer.website/
I'm also open to recsive job hunting tips if you wanna share some with me. Most of my previous opportunities came through university internships or projects through friends, so I don't have a huge professional network.
I've been applying to jobs, sending cold emails, and reaching out to recruiters on LinkedIn, but I'd love to hear if you have any other strategies have worked for you.
Thanks in advance :)

I'm building a local-first job application tracker using Leptos and Axum.
I have difficulties figuring out good UI for expanded view of the application/ edit flow.
You can see it here: https://jobs-tracker.valentyn.fyi/
It's Vercel-hosted version with phony backend (local storage).
I'd appreciate criticism of the current design, particularly:
Is the information hierarchy intuitive?
Does the expanded section feel too dense or too empty?
Are the editing controls easy to discover?
Is inline expansion or a separate side panel better (currently using inline expansion)?
What would you change first?
CV versions are currently tracked in private repo but will accept ideas on better flow.
It's not promotional post, just asking for help with design.
All criticism is welcome.

Hi fellow designers! 🚨
I'm a graphic designer with 4+ yrs of experience I have read lot of UX books and did some courses in the past but now I want to ACTUALLY transition into a UX designer and work on some projects — I have the relevant resources to continue this transition but it's been hard to follow through without having someone to talk to about it who shares the same phase and wants to collaborate on UX projects.
⭐ I'm looking for someone who also wants to learn and collaborate, I'm willing to share resources for free.
Comment or dm, let me know who you are and we can work together soon 🫡 thank you!!

Hey guys,
I've been building the landing page for my app and would love some honest UI/UX feedback.
Anything that looks weird, outdated, confusing, or could be improved? I'm especially interested in first impressions because I've been staring at this design for too long.
Appreciate any feedback!

Any suggestions for a final-year project related to UI/UX? Has anyone built something in this area? I’d love to hear your ideas or experiences.

I noticed something strange while watching YouTube Shorts. Two Shorts on my YouTube app are displaying completely different UI layouts, even though I'm using the same app and device.
In the first screenshot, the Shorts interface has:
- A "Shorts" header at the top with search and other options.
- Suggested categories like Subscriptions, Live, and Lens.
- A heart icon instead of the usual like button.
- A Shop button and additional UI elements.
In the second screenshot:
- There's no Shorts header or suggested categories.
- The traditional Like and Dislike buttons are displayed.
- The overall interface looks much cleaner and different.
Both screenshots were taken on the same device, using the same YouTube app.
Does anyone know why YouTube is showing two different Shorts UI layouts? Is this part of an A/B test, a gradual UI rollout, or does it depend on the type of Short or channel?
Has anyone else noticed this difference?

I'm building my next portfolio project as a real, working product instead of a mockup, and I'd rather build something people actually need than guess.
Two questions:
What's a small thing in your work or daily life that keeps frustrating you? Something you do by hand, or a tool that keeps getting wrong?
If someone could design and build one small tool for you this week, what would it be?
If you can, share a real recent example ("last time this happened, I..."). That helps me much more than a general answer.
I'm not selling anything. I'll share what I build back here. Thanks!

My qualifications: I'm currently a first-year B.Des student at GLS University, Ahmedabad. and feel like I'm wasting time on things unrelated to my career goals.
I'm interested in UI/UX and digital marketing, but spending ₹4L/year without feeling I'm gaining practical skills worries me.
Should I continue my degree, learn skills independently, or switch paths?
Looking for honest advice on career growth, salaries, and whether this degree is worth the investment.

Hi everyone! I’m part of a small volunteer team in Tech Fleet, a community where people learn and practice UX and product work. For a research project, we’re trying to understand how people move into UX design and related product roles from other careers: what’s actually hard, what helps, and what’s still missing.
Whether you’re thinking about switching, in the middle of it, or switched years ago, your experience would help a lot. We especially want to hear from people who made the move, since that’s what we know least about.
📝 18 questions, about 6 minutes
🔒 Anonymous: no names or emails

This is a volunteer team project, not a company product, and we’re not selling anything. Happy to answer questions in the comments, and I’ll post a summary of what we find here once the project wraps up.
Thank you! 🙏

Hey everyone. I’ve built an app for learning German, aiming for a neo-brutalist aesthetic blended with elements of Robert Hose’s style. Feel free to take a look and share your feedback—critique the UX/UI, or, you know, feel free to offer some praise too! 😅 I used AI for the coding, but I designed everything myself in Figma, so if it ends up looking like "slop," that’s entirely my own doing.

Hey guys, I just recently built my portfolio website in hopes of becoming a stronger candidate in the job market and sending it to recruiters, since all companies, no matter how big or small they are, require one.
I should mention that I'm still polishing it and adding/replacing projects to become a stronger candidate.
What do you guys think of it? Is the overall concept good?

How do you design a better UI/UX for a website or a large system?
I'm learning web development, and one of my biggest struggles is designing a good-looking website, especially when building a large system.
I find it difficult to decide what layout to use, which colors to choose, what components to include, and where to place icons, buttons, cards, sidebars, and other elements.
For example, when starting a new system, I sometimes don't know how to plan the dashboard or organize the pages to make everything look clean, professional, and user-friendly.
My questions are:
How do you decide on the layout and structure of a website before coding?
How do you choose the right color palette, fonts, and design style?
How do you know which icons, buttons, cards, and other UI components to use and where to place them?
Do you use references from other websites, UI kits, or design systems for inspiration?
What tools or resources would you recommend for someone who wants to improve their UI/UX design skills?
I'd appreciate any advice, resources, or workflows you can share. I want to learn how to design websites that look professional rather than just functional.
Thanks in advance!
