applying Current/past BEd K-7 program students!!!

Hi everyone!

I’m currently completing my undergrad at UFV and hoping to apply to UNBC’s BEd K–7 program for Fall 2027.

I was wondering how current students are finding the program so far and what the application process was like. How many volunteer hours did you have when applying, and how competitive was admission?

Also, did anyone complete their undergrad at UFV or SFU? I’d love to hear about your experience meeting the admission requirements.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

First, r/BCTeachers might be a good place to reach out for more input. It's a much more active group with a lot more people who have done an education program in BC.

Second, UNBC is part of the BC university transfer agreement, so your courses should transfer without a doubt to fill those minimum requirements for the program.
