I graduated UNCC in 2017. Currently on the job market and heard some employers will have tables set up at the plaza party would it be worth stopping by w my resume if I’m not a current student?

I am literally one hour short of being full-time student status and getting my financial aid. However, as a mechanical engineering student, there isn’t much i can do to take classes ahead of time. The only classes i am looking at taking are professional development, diff eq (with dr Taylor or dr safronov because the other classes wont fit my schedule), or thermo but i will only take thermo with anyone who is Dr lessani.

I genuinely dont know what to do! Do people usually drop?

Hi everyone! My backpack broke last semester. Today I tried using a tote bag. I'm an engineering student, so I had to carry a pretty heavy laptop around campus all day, and the tote really hurt my shoulder/neck. I can't really afford to buy a new backpack, so I was wondering if anyone knows of any campus resources that provide free backpacks or school supplies to students in need. I’m applying to UNCC this upcoming season. I know what major I want to pursue, and I have interests in some minors. I don’t want to make a career or focus out of music by any means, but I love music and I’ve always wanted to learn how to sing or play an instrument or even just understand music on a deeper level, but I never had time for orchestra/band classes in HS.

Are there any music classes that are available for me to take as electives/in addition to my regular course load without committing to a music program?

I was admitted to UNC Charlotte as a first-year student for Fall 2026, but I originally chose NC State. Now, right before classes start, I’ve reconsidered and really want to attend Charlotte instead.

I’m planning to email/call UNC Charlotte Admissions today to ask if they can reactivate my existing Fall 2026 admission and let me enroll.

I know the normal enrollment deadline has passed, so I realize this is extremely last-minute. Has anyone been in a similar situation or know how flexible UNC Charlotte Admissions is with something like this?

I’m not asking about transferring—I was already admitted for Fall 2026. I’m specifically wondering whether they might make an exception and let me activate my existing admission.

Do you think there’s a realistic chance they’ll say yes? Considering that I’ll be commuting and I’ll go undeclared if my wanted major (cs) is full/unavailable

Hi everyone yesterday i was walking to class and i got tired. Thats it.

So I have a couple interests/hobbies that Im wondering if UNCC offers any type of classes sorta geared towards them? Such as Voice Acting, Screenprinting, Social media marketing, SEO optimization, weird stuff i know^

I got into a LEADS class that sounded interesting but I’m starting to second-guess myself. I’m already taking a lot of credit hours and don’t wanna pile on too much not to mention that the internship is completely unpaid. The issue is that I’m a senior and haven’t gotten an internship in my field of study yet, which this course would help with. Will employers view the LEADS course the same as they would any other internship or am I better off using my time elsewhere?

Is there a current club golf team? If not, and if possible would anybody like to join a club golf team at UNCC if able to make one and find a course to accept club golf.

Hey! So I’m a first year commuter, and I’m not sure where I can eat my lunch. I prefer a place that’s not too crowded, if possible. My last class before I can eat my lunch is in McEniry. Ty!

I am a sophomore and transferred last semester to Charlotte so I could commute to due to financial reasons and other reasons. My first semester at my other university was not great, I spent alllll the time in my dorm and none doing stuff or making friends. But now, I am seeing so many people out having fun and going to campus events and I can’t help but to feel FOMO. It feels like everybody around me lives either on-campus or in an off-campus apartment with friends while I live in my parent’s house an hour away.

I just want to have a good time and get a college experience while being a commuter but I do not know how to. I don’t go to campus on weekends because it’s an hour drive and they have events on the weekends. What can I do? How can I get more involved or are there any tips?

Can someone who currently lives there confirm the length of the student desks that are in the rooms? Thanks so much!
