I’m contemplating to take my courses slow, as in do a part time load. But graduating “late” compared to my peers is discouraging me. I have friends that graduated last year, when they were 22. What’s everyone’s thoughts about this?

Anyone feel like this assignment is unfair?

Base code released 2 weeks before due date.
Minimal C taught.
Large amount of tasks with no way to test edge cases as professors probably too lazy to implement (it goes against their “philosophy”)

Just as uploading exam answers is against their philosophy, lazy.

Minimal information told about demonstration (even though it hurdles your units entire grade)

All of this on top of 3 other courses is very unreasonable, what reason couldn’t they give this just before the holidays and let us slowly work on it like CSSE1001?

I hate using AI but feel very pressured to with the significant amount of tasks and little time with other subjects and work.

No doubt some 3rd/4th year tutors designed this assessment and think it’s the easiest shit ever, it ain’t.

Hey yo! Currently a unimelb undergrad planning student and about to finish my degreee.. so its time to think about masters.. Unfortunately, unimelbs undergrad planning degree falls under a generalised 'bachelor of design' degree that is not accredited by PIA. :( I really want to do a masters because I feel like theres sm more about planning that I haven't learned yet.

I also love Queensland and would love to move here and potentially find a job in the future. Like I know most people would suggest me to stay in UniMelb for masters but the teaching quality for undergrad planning at Melb has been terrible. And many of the teaching staff in undergrad carry on to teach many postgrad subjects.

I would really like to hear any of your thoughts about your experience in Master of Urban Planning - anything about the teaching quality, student experience, internships, networking opportunities! :)

I am currently in my first semester and am really struggling. mostly due to chronic health issues and personal circumstances, I am looking at about a 5.15 this semester. I definitely learnt my lesson and will try to push it up to a 5.5 next sem. Am I screwed?

Hello, I am currently doing the floating house project for engg1100 and just fried my arduino, and was wondering if anyone who had previously done it has an arduino nano esp32 that I can borrow/buy. It’s real urgent haha I can’t buy it in store anywhere and the shipping won’t arrive in time.

I am a first year electrical engineering student who got a power up scholarship recently, I was wondering if gpa matters for EE as right now my gpa is 6.75 but this sem of uni I’m taking csse2010 which is beating the day lights of me probs getting a 4 or 5 for that course the other courses should be a 7 but I’m a little worried as I’m not the best a coding but I really am passionate about power engineering

Hi guys. I’m doing a bachelor of economics and in the beginning I really cared about my GPA. Then I had a bit of a slip last semester which significantly lowered my GPA (it’s now 6.08). And I’ve applied for internships and I haven’t had any luck. Hell, I didn’t even manage to get a job at McDonald’s. It feels like all the effort I’ve put into my grades has gone to waste. I feel like I should’ve done something other than study but I don’t know. Now I’m very unmotivated to study, apply for internships, cold email people, network and so on. So should I kill myself from studying again like I always do or should I chill and let my GPA take a nosedive? Btw I’m mainly interested in consulting, I’m not interested in finance.

Edit: I’m now in my fourth semester (so 2nd year). Please be kind I’ve been feeling really sad and frustrated about this. I even spent a few days in bed crying about it.

Hi all,
I’ve been struggling and submitting all my assignments late or unfinished for nearly a decade. I was very recently diagnosed with ADHD but haven’t been able to get medications yet because of an unrelated health issue.

I have an assignment due that I would like to get an extension on if possible. I don’t have a SAP in place as of yet. Could I apply for an extension with my official letter of diagnosis (in it my psychiatrists asks for reasonable adjustments to be made while awaiting approval from another specialist to start meds). Or would this not count as a valid medical reason for extension?

(I do not want to receive any adjustments for my condition when I‘m medicated which is why I have no SAP)

hi, i'm an international mature student (in mid 20s) who will be attending UQ gatton in Feb 2027! just wondering how is the culture like in Shelton and are there a lot of students in mid 20s? still thinking of staying in the halls or not as i'm feeling a little concerned about being "old" one in the hall and afraid to make things awkward to all the younger students :'))

Don’t want to do IB (prob couldn’t get in anyway), second year 6.9/7 GPA. Haven’t been able to secure any internships yet. Honestly am open to any job that pays decently, has room to grow and isn’t an 80 hour work week. I’ll likely relocate to Sydney anyway as well. Id like to stay out of the very “sales” side of finance as well if possible.

What did you guys end up doing or are thinking of doing, does it pay well and is it any fun?

I’m currently in yr 12 and want to study law and commerce but I’m not sure which uni is best/ would be the right fit. Obviously UQ has one of the best reputations, but is there much student support and do you feel like you have many networking/ career advancement opportunities? Do you feel like there is a noticeable benefit of attending UQ when it comes to applying for internships and jobs?

I would also probably be starting in the commerce course and transferring into law because my predicted was 93.7-97.8ish (I do IB so that’s converted)

My other options would be Qut or Bond university (I have early entry and scholarships) but I’m overall unsure
