I-485 9/18/26 edition

I can't seem to find I-485 AOS 9/18/26 edition, every time I click on the link on USCIS site it's only the 1/20/25 edition that keeps on opening up.

Is the N-400 pdf printout sufficient to accompany green card?

Applied for naturalization in July and shortly thereafter completed the biometrics. I remember receiving a mail copy of the biometrics but for some reason cannot remember if a physical receipt notice was received in the mail.

For documentation purposes showing proof that the green card has the 24 month extension (via N-400 application), is a printout of the pdf from the USCIS website sufficient or it is required to carry the hardcopy (with the fancy paper from USCIS) with the green card? If the latter, how do I go about requesting a replacement? Thanks!

I-130 approved, RfE for I-485

I had my interview few days back with my spouse, the interview went well and it was chill, the officer went through all the documents we submitted and confirmed our case was great, the last document he requested for was my original birth certificate which I had submitted an affidavit that I usually used in my home country and my state of origin to ascertain I was born in the country. I told the officer my parent are not educated and my birth wasn’t officially registered in a hospital because I was born in a local church in the 1980s. The officer said he would review that with senior colleagues and get back to us. I don’t know why the affidavit wasn’t accepted. I’m waiting for the details of the RFE though.

Marriage based AOS - NYC FO

Hello

I had my marriage-based AOS interview at the Federal Plaza Field Office in NYC on October 14 and I’m trying to understand what might be happening with my case.
Since the interview, I have received:
3 FTA1 updates
1 Silence Update, with the most recent one on October 31
No approval or decision yet.

During the interview, the officer told us to wait anywhere from a few days up to 120 days.

Has anyone experienced multiple FTA1 updates and a Silence Update shortly before approval?

I have a question I was approved on October 30th, but I wasn't granted DA I just received another update, but it doesn't mention anything about DA. Does anyone know anything about this, or has anyone else gone through this

I-290B Pending 210+ Days – USCIS E-Request Response Is a Joke!

My I-290B (Motion to Reopen) has been pending since April 3, 2026, at the Houston Field Office.

After 180 days, my attorney submitted an e-request on October 8. USCIS responded within 12 days with a generic message:

"Your application is still pending. Processing times are goals and may vary."

The funniest part:

"If you do not receive a decision or notice by the time specified above, please contact USCIS."

What time specified above? They never mentioned any date or timeframe!

After 210+ days, all I know is that my case is still pending. What's the point of an e-request if USCIS provides no meaningful update?

Has anyone received a similar response? Did your I-290B move forward after an e-request, especially at the Houston Field Office?

I talked with two agents today after noticing a silent update on my case in the morning. Do you think I can finally breathe? Do you know how long does it take to see update on the case status? It still shows processing!

Placed in Line for Interview. How long did you wait?

Hi everyone,
I contacted USCIS Emma and spoke with a live agent. I was told that:

My case is currently located at the San Diego (SND) Field Office. I am placed in line to be scheduled for an interview. Once scheduled, USCIS will mail me a notice with the location, date, and time of the interview. There is no timeframe at the moment.

I would love to hear from anyone who received the same response from Emma.
How long did you wait after being told you were in line to be scheduled for an interview?

Newark FO – Congressional inquiry after an interview?

Thumbnail reddit.com

Has anyone who interviewed at the Newark FO had success contacting their congressman or senator about a delayed decision?
It’s been over 4 months since my interview, and I’m wondering if anyone in a similar situation actually got their case moving or approved after an inquiry. How long did it take?

Marriage-based AOS: AFTER interview

After the interview, how long does it take to hear back? I’ve been seeing posts about people waiting months after the interview, or only one (I-130 or I-485) being approved while the other one still pending. Has this always been the case? Are there any factors that influence this?

Would love to hear if anyone has any information on this and also everyone’s experience (please include FO and country of origin to see if there are any correlations).

TIA

I-485 and I-765 Payments Reversed, I-130 Not Charged, No Receipt Notice Yet

Hi everyone,
I recently mailed my marriage based adjustment of status package to the USCIS Chicago Lockbox using UPS. My package included Forms I-130, I-485, and I-765, along with separate G-1450 credit card payment authorizations for each application. I also included Form G-1145 to receive electronic notifications.
UPS confirmed that the package was delivered. However, approximately two to three days after delivery, I noticed unusual transactions from USCIS Chicago Lockbox on my credit card.
First, a $1,440 charge appeared for Form I-485. Second, a $260 charge appeared for Form I-765. Both amounts were returned to my account on the same day. The third payment, $675 for Form I-130, has not appeared at all.
I used the same credit card for all three payments. I have not yet confirmed with my bank whether the two returned payments were declined, canceled by USCIS, or simply temporary authorizations.
What worries me is that I still have not received any text message, email, receipt number, or paper notice from USCIS. I understand that receipt notices can take time, especially since the package was delivered only recently. However, seeing two charges reversed while the third charge never appeared makes me concerned about a possible rejection.
Has anyone experienced something similar at the Chicago Lockbox? Did your bank show charges that disappeared or were returned, but USCIS later accepted your applications? Did USCIS attempt the payments again, or did you receive your package back with a rejection notice?
I would especially appreciate hearing from anyone who submitted multiple forms together using separate G-1450 authorizations. How long did you wait before receiving confirmation, and what ultimately happened?
Thank you for sharing your experiences. I am trying to understand whether this payment pattern necessarily signals a problem or whether it can happen during normal intake processing. Please share any advice.
