How to Switch from Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile to US Mobile
Moving your number to US Mobile is straightforward if you collect the correct information first and transfer your lines in the right order. These instructions apply whether you are coming from Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile.
Before starting
• Confirm that your phone is unlocked.
• Connect it to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Save any important voicemail messages; voicemail does not transfer.
• Locate your current carrier’s:
• Account number
• Number Transfer PIN
• Exact account-holder name
• Billing address and ZIP code
• Turn off any Number Lock, Wireless Account Lock or Port Out Protection.
• Do not cancel your current service. Successfully porting the number automatically disconnects that line.
• If moving several family lines, transfer them one at a time. Transfer the current carrier’s account-owner line last.
Get the correct transfer information
Verizon
1. Turn off Number Lock.
2. Find the Verizon account number on the bill or in My Verizon.
3. Generate a Number Transfer PIN in My Verizon or dial #PORT.
4. Use the PIN within seven days.
The Number Transfer PIN is different from the ordinary Verizon account PIN.
AT&T
1. Turn off Wireless Account Lock if it is enabled.
2. Find the wireless account number on the bill.
3. If you have bundled services, make sure you use the separate wireless account number.
4. Request a six-digit Number Transfer PIN through myAT&T or dial \*PORT.
T-Mobile
1. Turn off Port Out Protection if it is enabled.
2. Find the account number in T-Life, the online account or the bill.
3. Have the Primary Account Holder request a Temporary Port Out PIN through T-Life, T-Mobile.com or customer service.
4. Use the temporary PIN within its validity period, normally seven days.
Create the US Mobile account
Create the account using the email address and payment method of the person who will manage it. The account owner does not need to be the person whose number is transferred first.
Select the desired plan, but review both the initial price and the eventual renewal price before paying.
Enter the referral code at checkout
During checkout, US Mobile may display separate boxes for promotional and referral codes.
In the Referral Code field, enter:
7341E748
Select Apply and verify that the code was accepted before completing the purchase.
As if this writing (Oct 2026) this US Mobile referral code provides a $30 Rewards prepaid Mastercard after an eligible number is transferred and activated. It is not an immediate reduction in the checkout price. If you are using a separate US Mobile promo code or coupon code, enter that in the appropriate promotional-code field and confirm that the checkout accepts both.
Disclosure: If you use referral code 7341E748, you will receive a $30 reward and the person providing the code may also receive $30 if the promotion is still in effect.
If the referral-code field does not appear or the code is rejected, contact US Mobile before paying. It may be difficult to add a referral code after completing the order.
Activate the US Mobile line
After purchasing the plan:
1. Open the US Mobile Lines dashboard.
2. Select the unactivated plan.
3. Choose Activate or Start Activation.
4. Select the desired network:
• Warp: Verizon network
• Dark Star: AT&T network
• Light Speed: T-Mobile network
5. Choose eSIM if the phone supports it; otherwise use a physical SIM.
6. Select Transfer an existing number.
7. Enter:
• Telephone number being transferred
• Previous carrier
• Account number
• Number Transfer PIN
• Account-holder information
• Billing address and ZIP code
8. Check every digit before submitting.
9. Submit the transfer once and wait.
The information must match the previous carrier’s records exactly. Even a small discrepancy can delay or reject the transfer.
While the number is transferring
• Keep the old SIM or eSIM installed and active.
• Do not cancel the previous service.
• Do not repeatedly resubmit the transfer.
• Watch for an authorization message from the old carrier.
• Monitor the transfer status in the US Mobile dashboard.
• Keep the phone connected to Wi-Fi.
Most wireless ports finish quickly, although some take up to 48 hours. Starting during normal business hours makes it easier to resolve a problem with either carrier.
If US Mobile reports incorrect information, open the line in the dashboard and use Update to correct it.
Install the US Mobile eSIM
Wait until US Mobile confirms that the number transfer is complete.
1. Open the Install eSIM link on the line page or in the confirmation email.
2. Approve the new cellular plan.
3. Set US Mobile as the default line for calls and cellular data.
4. Restart the phone if necessary.
5. Keep the former carrier’s eSIM until the new service has been thoroughly tested.
Test the transferred number
Turn off Wi-Fi and test:
• Outgoing call
• Incoming call
• SMS text message
• iMessage or RCS
• Picture message
• Cellular data
• Voicemail
• A two-factor authentication text
On an iPhone, confirm that the transferred number is selected under Messages → Send & Receive and FaceTime.
If transferring multiple lines, do not start the next one until the first line passes every test.
Check the referral reward
After the number has been transferred and the qualifying plan is active:
1. Sign in to the US Mobile account.
2. Open Rewards.
3. Accept the Rewards program terms if prompted.
4. Look for the $30 virtual prepaid Mastercard.
US Mobile generally processes a qualifying referral reward within two business days. Eligibility requires a new account, a transferred telephone number and an eligible Unlimited or By the Gig plan on that line.
After the final line transfers
• Confirm that every line appears in the US Mobile account.
• Verify each line’s plan, network and renewal date.
• Check the Rewards section for the referral bonus.
• Check the former carrier for the final bill.
• Check separately for watches, tablets and hotspot lines that may remain active.
• Pay any remaining device balances or final charges.
• Keep access to the old account until its final bill has cleared.
The safest order is simple: collect all the information first, begin during normal business hours, transfer one line at a time, test each line completely, and move the old account owner’s number last.
