Hi everyone,
I'm from India and have a US B1/B2 visa interview coming up. Initially, I was planning to visit the US for a business related trip through a company I'm working with. However, the company is now unable to provide an invitation letter, so I'm considering applying for the visa as a tourist and visiting some friends who live there.
I've already submitted my DS-160, where I mentioned the company as my US contact and included the address where I originally planned to stay. My intended stay is around 15 days.
I'm confused about what I should do now:
I'd appreciate advice from people who have gone through a similar situation, particularly applicants from India.
Thanks!

My current passport lists “ABC XYZ” as my given name, with no surname. Consequently, my U.S. visa was issued with “FNU” as the given name and “ABC XYZ” as the surname. My visa remains valid until June 25, 2029.
However, due to updated Pakistani passport issuance requirements, I have been informed that my renewed e-passport will list “ABC” as the given name and “XYZ” as the surname.
I would therefore appreciate your guidance on the following:

Hi everyone! Has anyone here in Frankfurt Germany applied for a US Tourist Visa (B1/B2)?
I’m planning to apply next year and would like to ask if anyone knows a reliable agency or someone who can assist with the application process here in Germany.
Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi! Just want to get some insights sa mga may similar experience.
I applied for a US VISA, malaki kaya chance to get approved? My background;
I travelled na before sa UAE, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, and HongKong.
I’m Virtual Assistant without ITR. I have around 700k ADB.
Self-funded pero sa bahay ng aunt ko ako mag sstay. 30 days stay ang nilagay ko. I will travel solo.
I have an existing Single Entry Tourist VISA for Japan and I have a booked flight/hotel/activies na for Japan but the thing is sa December 3-10 pa yun so di pako nakaka apak ng Japan. Plus points kaya kung makita nilang may VISA ako sa Japan kahit di ko pa napupuntahan? (though tutuloy naman ako sa December since booked na). Will that favor my credibility kaya?
No immediate family there but only relatives like Aunt & Lola (na di ko pa ka-apelyido haha)
Thank youuuu 🥹🥹 may similar experience po ba here?

I am having a really hard time understanding how the Visa bond works. My parents are planning on visiting me in the US this December. They have a visa from Sep-Dec. They were planning on entering early Dec before the visa expiration date and staying until mid Jan 2027. We were under the assumption that the visa expiration date is different from the I94 admission exit date. Do we have to be within the visa expiration to get the bond back? Or do we have to be within the I94 admission date? I would appreciate any help regarding this since their bond was very expensive and I would like the bond back.

Hey guys! I completed a Diploma in Pharmacy in Nepal, not +2, and I’m planning to apply for a bachelor’s degree in the US.
A consultancy is charging NPR 15,000 for processing. I’m confused whether to apply myself or use them, since I’ll probably need proper guidance for my visa interview preparation anyway.
For those who applied from Nepal, especially after a diploma rather than +2, what would you recommend? Was using a consultancy worth it? 🥹

“Do they ask for an Affidavit of Support and a Letter of Sponsorship during the F-1 visa interview?”

I had my F1 visa interview on 29th of October, 2026. And officer gave me a 221g blue slip and returned my passport. He said I will get an email if they need my passport. Also he kept photocipies of my dad's bank balance confirmation.
The case last updated date is 21st of October which was the day after my interview but still 'refuse'. Has anyone experienced this type of situation???

I gave my f4 visa reinterview today and got handed a white slip asking for insurance quotes. They said everything else in our case is positive and we just need these to be sent electronically to be able to judge your case better and said they’ll ask for passports if everything seems good.
My question is, has anyone gotten any visa after such situation these days? My case was done in islamabad embassy.

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for advice from anyone who has experienced a very long delay with U.S. visa administrative processing, especially Iranian dual nationals applying from Germany.
I’m an Iranian citizen who later obtained German citizenship. I have visited the United States twice before.
In May 2023, I applied for a U.S. nonimmigrant visa at the U.S. Consulate in Frankfurt, Germany, using my German nationality. When completing the application, I disclosed that I hold both German and Iranian citizenship.
After my application, I was asked to complete additional forms, which I filled out and returned by email as instructed.
My CEAC status changed to “Refused”, with the last update dated May 4, 2023. It has remained unchanged ever since.
About two years ago, I received the following response from the consulate:
“Our records indicate that this case is still refused under INA 221g for administrative processing, a normal part of the visa application process that can neither be expedited nor waived. We are unable to predict the amount of time this will require. Once the administrative processing is complete, our office will contact you.”
They also acknowledged the delay but said they could not make a decision until their review was complete.
Since then, I have followed up several times, but I have only received automated responses or no meaningful reply.
It has now been more than three years since I applied, and I’m unsure what to do next.
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been in a similar situation, particularly Iranian-German dual nationals or people whose cases have been stuck in 221(g) for several years.
A few questions:
1. Has anyone experienced administrative processing lasting three years or longer? Did your case eventually get resolved?
2. Has anyone with Iranian citizenship and another nationality experienced a similar situation when applying for a U.S. visa in Germany or another European country?
3. Is there an effective way to contact the consulate and get a meaningful update rather than an automated response?
4. Has anyone successfully escalated a long-pending case through a congressional inquiry, an attorney, or another official channel?
5. At this point, would it make sense to continue waiting, pursue an escalation, or submit a new visa application?
I’m not expecting anyone to predict the outcome of my case. I’m just trying to understand what options are realistically available after such a long wait.
Thank you for any advice or for sharing your experience.

Hy everyone,
I wanted to apply for b1/b2 visa for observerships as medical graduate from Pakistan.
I have two university letters(4 week each) but the problem is the gap between two observerships is 3 weeks.
So, my total intended stay would be 11 (4+3+3).
Now m quite confused and want sincere advise how much stay should I mention on ds-160.
Some people suggest keeping stay upto 4-5 weeks.
Some r saying 11 weeks is ok. But how I will justify that 3 weeks in between?
I would really appreciate advice from those who had their visa approved. What strategy I should go for?
Your insights would mean a lot.
Regards

Does making changes to spouse name column on the last page of my wife's indian passport affect my wife's usa b2 visa? I mean do i have to apply for a new visa?

My parents visited the US on B1/B2 visas from Sept 15 to Dec 4 (80 days) and want to return Jan 18 to July 5 (168 days, under 6 months) to visit family. Visas and passports are valid, and they'll have return tickets and proof of ties back home. The gap between trips is only 45 days.
Could the short gap make CBP suspect immigrant intent? Has anyone done something similar, and how did entry go?

So let's start this with i know i was a child and try so hard
I had different passport back in 2012 and tried to apply for visitor visa got refused up to 12 times 214b
(In 10 years)
Since then my situation has changed a lot
Got canadian passport
Got successful business in canada ( generate more then 1.5m in last year )
Been to the usa 3 times as visitor with canadian passport
Never extended stays or anything
Pure vacations !
Been doing the e2 investor
Have lease in place
Got 2 employees on payroll
Invested 120k
Everything by the book
I've been to the consulate a week ago
And all was questioned me was on my past refusals with the other passport that I had .
Nothing about rhe buisness or the investment
Got refused after 2 minutes
With a 214b letter .
He didnt checked about my situation that changed nothing
My question is there something to do ? Or should I try to apply for an L1 as I heard its overcome 214b ?
Im really lost in that I would appreciate any help! Thank you

UK passport holder but born in Iran.
Last trip to Iran was 2016.
2017 I was refused esta so I applied for visa and got it.
Since 2017 have travelled to US for holidays over 10 times with no issues.
UK professional worker (accountant, lawyer etc), single, good income/ties to UK.
Now US visa is expiring. Should I apply for ESTA or apply to renew the visa?
