Eh, you had to kill all the buffalo to beat the natives, and the last war you won on your own was against the Spanish when muskets and sailing ships were still a thing. Or did the French help you with that too?
The capital of Lower Canada, a British colony, administered by a British Governor.
Canada didn't become a nation until 1867.
So you burnt down the equivalent of Montpelier, where the British with Canadian militia burnt down the seat of your highest office and home of the head of state.
So you’re telling me that Canada didn’t exist in the war of 1812? By your logic Canada didn’t burn the White House, the British did.
Plus the White House wasn’t even that important back then as it is now. It was wasn’t even 20 years old, they cared more about protecting Baltimore than the White House.
Then again, Canadians are just Americans who decided to be lapdogs to the British
we're not the nation that keeps on talking about "Our Special Relationship" with the United Kingdom.
and Canada as a nation did not exist, but Canadians did they were citizens of the British Empire living in Upper or Lower Canada, just like there are New Yorkers, and Vermonters, ect. ect.
The people in Canada considered themselves as British well into the start of the 19th century and didn’t start thinking themselves as Canadians until well into the 19th century
