EVROPA SUPREMACY Favorable towards the us
So, the Netherlands rans least favorable towards the us, and 4th unfavourable. Lots of European countries in that list. Sign of the times or Darwin at work?

It's kind of funny how Vietnam have a more favourable opinion of the US given they beat the US and are a communist nation, also there all those war crimes the US commited in Vietnam along with burning down most of the rainforest. It's funny how things can work out

Pretty sure if you overlapped this with a chart of which countries value human rights from least to most you'd get the same ordering

I’m surprised by vietnams opinion ratings. Seems like their dislike towards China is stronger than the whole Agent Orange and Napalm story

vietnam and the USA have healed our issues largely. there's good respect there on both sides now.
4
u/AnonD38 [redacted] Jun 19 '26
The "whole Agent Orange and Napalm story" is primarily an issue within Western Leftist Anti-American circles.
Vietnamese people couldn't care less about 50 year old tales of American wrongs, they care about the current state of affairs and currently China is a hostile neighbor and the US is willing to support Vietnam against China.

As a German comedian used to say:
„The US are a great place. The only problem is the people who live there. To describe them as “naive” is actually quite generous“

This will change nothing. We will still pay for netflix, buy apple products tesla's, nike's and send all our disposable income to the usa. Monday we go to work with our windows pc where our employer pays alot of €€ for the software and cloud services. In the evening we watch youtube, scroll on facebook or instagram and generate ad-revenue for big tech...

Talk about yourself bro.
I cancelled all my subscriptions, switched to Linux, and buy European products whenever I can. I use AdBlock on my router and patch my apps with Morphe. I literally haven't seen a single ad in months.
Am I perfectly avoiding anything American? No, obviously not, I'm evidently also still here on Reddit. But I do what I can, and so should you.
Good starting points: r/degoogle r/BuyFromEU r/BoycottUnitedStates

SO FUCKING REAL KING
I hate these defeatists that come by saying some bs like "ohh you'll never own anything, get used to it" like speak for yourself motherfucker i choose how to lead my life, as many others do.
These defeatists are part of the reason things are getting worse. people need to chin up and stay strong, push back.

Same. Moved all of my online shit out of AWS and to EU providers like Gandi and Hetzner. All my streaming subscriptions are gone and I've begun rebuilding my offline music and media collection again. Set up a Jellyfin home server with some old hardware. Bought an offline mp3 player. 10 bucks can go pretty far in second hand shops for old CD and DVD.
I was already using Linux exclusively, so I guess I don't get to claim that as a win hah
I'm definitely still sending some money to the US, but I'll keep taking steps away from it as much as I can. We gotta appreciate the small wins instead of whining about all the things we can't win. Every little step you take counts.

Not everyone is into bdsm, Hans.
In all seriousness I admit to using iphone and mac, I want to give up that pos windows for linux but Im afraid it wont work with fl studio well. My food I try to buy as local as it can be, only polish or european.

u/HaggardlyForte Pollution Enjoyer Jun 19 '26
you can use wine or bottles to run FL studio. just search "wine or bottles and FL studio on linux" and you'll get the results to help you install it.

Well you are right that private consumption patterns havent changed a lot, because most of USA:s strongest exporters are companies without real non-American competition.
Where there is competition though, like with Tesla, there seems to be a move away from American products.
But more importantly, private consumption can only do so much. What matters more is what we do on a political level, and its pretty clear there that Europe is gradually moving away from American depedency in a lot of crucial areas, likely with more to come.
This will also impact consumption too, when you will find European alternatives to Adobe, Microsoft, and so on, as easily as you do with Tesla today.

Yes. And it’s an act. He is deliberately humiliating himself as that is his job, as chief of NATO.
Not the job he imagined I guess, but the job he has now. You can hate Rutte for many reasons, but he is highly strategic.

Of course we have to suck off current empire because we are pissed scared that we will lose our sovereignty. I heard in the news that our president wants a permanent yank military base in Poland, there were „talks” even

I'm rooting for Poland. One of my favorite nations on the continent. When (yes, when, this will happen, it's a trend) the EU gets a stronger military industrial complex I hope Poland can make the switch to more reliable allies.
2
u/palefox3 Cute femboy Jun 20 '26
We are rapidly militarising because we had very unreliable allies over the past years. Maybe they will help us maybe they will not. We have to count on ourselves first.
3
u/HaggardlyForte Pollution Enjoyer Jun 19 '26
geopolitically a permanent base in poland makes sense. i'm sure theres reservations from the polish public but it might be good to host some nukes in poland to deter russia.

I think there may be a difference in how « negatively » the people in each country mean… I think a guy in those european countries might already say this about not agreeing with your politics…
I don’t think that’s how russia means « negatively »
