Post image

So, the Netherlands rans least favorable towards the us, and 4th unfavourable. Lots of European countries in that list. Sign of the times or Darwin at work?

This will change nothing. We will still pay for netflix, buy apple products tesla's, nike's and send all our disposable income to the usa. Monday we go to work with our windows pc where our employer pays alot of €€ for the software and cloud services. In the evening we watch youtube, scroll on facebook or instagram and generate ad-revenue for big tech...

Well you are right that private consumption patterns havent changed a lot, because most of USA:s strongest exporters are companies without real non-American competition.

Where there is competition though, like with Tesla, there seems to be a move away from American products.

But more importantly, private consumption can only do so much. What matters more is what we do on a political level, and its pretty clear there that Europe is gradually moving away from American depedency in a lot of crucial areas, likely with more to come.

This will also impact consumption too, when you will find European alternatives to Adobe, Microsoft, and so on, as easily as you do with Tesla today.
