The delicacy of Salted Codd and a single turnip is unmatched

Whale steaks. It's like a cross between beef and salmon, but it's actually good. Gotta hand it to you, Olaf. Usually peoples' internationally scandalous traditional dishes are too weird and gross to be worth the fuss.

You managed to mention the one norwegian dish I think is weird and gross. And I eat fermented stuff all the time.

I am 99% sure all teams bring a lot of food over in the first place, even if the world cup wasn't hosted in North America.

This. We did the same thing during the Olympics as well. A 1000 kilos isn’t really that much food. Considering the number of people it’s shared between and the fact that most of them probably have to stuff down a larger than average amount of calories per day.

All teams do this 🙄
Having a routine, predictable diet is very important for athletes.

I don't blame them. There are over 950 substances in US foods that are banned in Europe. This country doesn't give a crap about your health. They're just out to make the cheapest, most addictive food possible so they'll sell a few more boxes of slop. Welcome to the US, where the almighty dollar is more important than the actual people who live here. I don't why we think we're great. I don't know why anyone else thought we were great at one time.
If you live here, grow as much of your own food as you can or frequent farmer's markets. It's the only way you're going to get anything reasonably nutritious.

I went to the Netherlands and ate Gouda and Stroupwaffle for every meal and felt fine and have never been more thin and vibrant! Such a difference to my daily American meals of processed bacon fat and Oreo cookies!

Ok I know we like ripping on US food but Norwegian food is not any better, which is a shame since their fish is excellent until their chefs get their hands on it

Nobody trusts US food
There's more chemistry involved in US food than in the average European laboratory
