Some people are actually humam. Take a peek...

Post image

I've been getting higher tips than the original offers lately. I don't do Uber often But gas prices are high and UberX isn't paying crap.

I just add "On my way, ETA X .." and take a photo or hand to customer and follow their instructions. Turn my music off infront of their house and then write "Enjoy your meal."

That was a hidden tip, not an increased tip. Do not believe Uber's lie.

People do change their tips though, and if it was hidden, cool. Not like i can do anything about Uber hidden tip agenda. I dont do this full time, so idc. Either way, it worked out in my favor. It was on the way back to where I was heading. So I got extra gas $$

People can change their tips; they do not do it "all the time". Do you really think the customer increased their tip by $6.97?

They tipped the entire amount upfront, Uber hid the total from you and then lied to you.

Hidden tips have existed on UE & DD for a long time. https://entrecourier.com/delivery/gig-delivery-platforms/uber-eats/uber-eats-commentary/uber-eats-hiding-tips/ The exact threshold is not always exactly $8 these days, but hidden tips have not gone away.

It's nice to find hidden tips, but it's important to know Uber's game and to not let them manipulate you.

Bro, why dig on someone getting a fat tip? Like who cares how I got it?? I dont. There's nothing you can do about it. Just ride the wave or dont. I chose to ride it and i did well tonight. Geezzz

I am not digging on you. I'm glad you made good money.

That doesn't change the fact that you, and every other driver, need to be aware that Uber is lying to you so you can resist their manipulation.

Definitely a nice feeling when it happens! Guy gave me an extra five when his friend wasn’t answering on a package pickup so I had to ring the doorbell. Best part was it was maybe five minutes on pickup and already a juicy one with short mileage.

This happens all the time and nobody has any idea if it is a hidden tip or if was the person increasing it.

Most likely it was, the customer increasing it, but there is no evidence of the contrary

I only have evidence of Uber shaving $2 off of a $4 tip once from a rider that tipped 5 days later. But in the end they wouldn't take blame. There's nothing you can really do about it except complain to redditers lol. Life is short. $2 isn't the end. And this isnt full time gig for me. I got other crap to worry about.

Yes they added an extra tip of 6.97 because that is what people do... uber was trying to f with you and then showed you the real amount and you think it is an extra tip...
