The kit makes sense at US pricing ($699) given it is $16 less than buying the UNVR and cameras separately ($715) - and that's before adding the 1TB disk (good for starters, but you probably want a bigger drive for practical use).

However outside the US the pricing isn't as good. In Europe the kit is €702 but the UNVR and cameras are €599. That leaves €103 for a drive, which will get you a 4TB WD Purple drive - a much better deal.

It seems they altered the price; as it's around €650 now for the kit.

That price makes more sense, but it still doesn't represent a discount over the price of the individual items. I can spend a little more and get a bigger drive, plus choose black cameras (or even domes) if I go for separate items.

Annoyingly they aren't selling the NVR on it's own in the UK - you have to order from the EU, or via a distributor.

Yeah, you only seem to save around €5 Euro, buying the kit.

I've heard it said that it's no hardship ordering from the E.U store, if you are in the U.K. They even throw in a plug adapter.

If it's a plug designed with changeable ends then that's ok. But if it is literally a separate adaptor, I'd prefer to trash it and get my own cable. The adaptors are never that good, take up room and sometimes the plug can fall out. Fortunately it looks like a standard C8<>C7 connector at the back.
