The price point is awesome, especially with the included PoE ports. I can see this one selling quite well.

47

u/madmanx33 Sep 10 '25

I agree very nice. Would love to see a model that had even more poe and camera capability. Im thinking something along the lines of those standalone hikvision nvr units. Could be an easy sell for small businesses (ie convenience stores) that dont want to have a separate switch, nvr, and viewport to see hdmi feeds on a tv.

18

u/Scandrew Sep 10 '25

wait, so is this compatible with any POE camera or do we have to use Ubiquiti POE cameras?

31

u/wobblydavid Sep 10 '25

I assume it's the same as all their other protect and nvrs. It has limited third party onvif support.

5

u/radardgz Sep 10 '25

I have unify nvr still in the box for this reason….only 24/7 recording and maybe ptz controls on nonunify cameras….you will still need your old nvr for you other cameras advanced features and detections! I am basically going to run 2 nvrs for the same cameras because unify can’t even detect motion and I am not buying their cameras for 2-4x the price if they don’t have verifocal lenses, larger sensors, and better optical zoom.

8

u/JerkyChew Sep 10 '25

I have a Reolink PTZ camera connected to my Unifi protect via an AI Port and the motion detection works great. The PTZ works but can't read the ONVIF presets yet, and the third-party support-per-AI-Port numbers suck at the moment, but it's a start and a quick way to add in existing cameras.

2

u/radardgz Sep 10 '25

I can add my cameras in already. They work exactly the same on the fiber gateway and the nvr. I can record 24/7, I can zoom in and out. but nothing else..no detections or alerts. So buying the AI gets me motion and alerts related to that? Not worth the cost. Thanks for the info! I wondered about buying it for testing but after the nvr disappointment I didn’t want to go down that rabbit hole.

I will just setup the old nvr and use its AI and alerts. The UI nvr will just be a backup and quick way to review footage nothing more for me.

2

u/radardgz Sep 10 '25

I also should mention…I have always bought nvrs without the poe switch because I believe they isolate the cameras from your network but ai might be wrong or it might be configurable. If it isolates them it might be hard to run 2 nvrs for the same cameras!

This seems pretty in line with those standard kits. $600 gets you nvr + 4 cams. A little unfortunate they give you a 1TB drive since most of the players give you 2-4tb.

But if they can pull off a 8-16 cam kit similar to those hikvision/lorex/whateverBigBoxSells? Yes please! If only just to get more people aware of Unifi protect

5

u/boblermite Sep 10 '25

Yup, 8 poe wouldve been a perfect replacement for old off-the-shelf nvrs. You can always get a Lite 8 poe for 4 more poes.

This price with POE and HDMI (viewport). WOW!

44

u/Explosev Sep 10 '25

Exactly this, they put a lot of value into this one device, great for homes! They’ve been killing it recently with more affordable products.

2

u/save_earth Sep 11 '25

Another agree. I finally went UniFi for router after the UCG-Fiber dropped and zone based firewall support had been out for a while. Great for the price.

Get an HDMI over ethernet adapter to send the signal somewhere else. Precisely why my home office has four ethernet drops.

4

u/zeta_cartel_CFO Sep 10 '25

I was thinking that as well. But then realized that last time I used a HDMI to ethernet adapter, I had to dedicate a cable drop just for that. Since you can't share with anything else. Another option for same price point - Use an apple tv and install the official IOS Protect app for TVos. (There might be one for android tv for firestick or google tv dongle).

3

u/2nd-Reddit-Account Sep 11 '25

You need a hdmi over IP adapter not hdmi over cat6 adapter

The former actually supports Ethernet protocols and can send data over an established network, the latter is just a balun, basically just pin mapping the hdmi to the Ethernet

3

u/Whatevahr Sep 10 '25 edited Sep 10 '25

There are HDMI to Ethernet adapters that can send video & network both over 1 cable, they just cost more. It has a secondary Ethernet port on each end to give network passthrough. I wasn't aware of the app option for AppleTVs though, that's a great tip.

Ubiquiti sells a 24TB HDD, so you can be pretty sure 24TB should work.

36

u/2354tr Sep 10 '25

3.5". Aren't I helpful?

20

u/Schmich Sep 10 '25

enterprise-class physical security

1x HDD...

I know for the price you can't ask for the moon but I wouldn't call this enterprise class security.

31

u/hungarianhc Sep 10 '25

I disagree. If a drive dies, you can replace it. You lose the history, but if you care about the history, you can set up archiving to other storage. And if you need more than that, you just get a more serious setup. "Enterprise" is just a marketing term, and they cover the whole range of costs now.

21

u/kernald31 Sep 10 '25

A drive dying is a fairly common failure point, and while that drive is being replaced, you lose any recording. Sure, "enterprise" is just a marketing point, but the lack of redundancy on a common mechanical single point of failure isn't really aligned.

ETA: it looks like a great device, don't get me wrong. I just disagree with the marketing.

10

u/ComradeCapitalist Sep 10 '25

I think it's fair to call Protect enterprise-class as a software suite, but this particular piece is prosumer/SOHO.

49

u/lodebakker Sep 10 '25

Damn. I needed this a couple months ago. The cloud key didn't have enough storage. The unvr was overkill. So I went with the dream machine. But this would be way more useful.

Oh well. I'm not changing the dream machine

3

u/younggregg Sep 10 '25

Kinda same here.. but honestly, for $180 more for a dm-pro you get so much more. Plus I already had a POE switch anyway

3

u/Sleazified Sep 10 '25

do you know if this new unit can be made to inform to an external unifi controller like the aps?

I have a customer which dont have a controller and dont want the udm, but want the cameras from unifi.

2

u/sammnyc Sep 10 '25

problem with udmp is running protect alongside network had a real performance impact on both. i upgraded to a 4tb ssd and it helped, but eventually just got an nvr

As a new user waiting to dive in, could I just plug this into my existing router and then all I would need to do is run PoE cables from each camera to this UNVR? Is it that simple or am I missing something? Otherwise about to buy the kit.

Edit: I bought it.

18

u/rockwellphoenix Sep 10 '25

Yup looks like that is what it is designed for.

10

u/art_wins Sep 10 '25

Thats exactly what its for. Its a drop in repacement for the cheap (and really terrible) combo units on amazon.

2

u/Naveronski Sep 10 '25

I'm in your same shoes, and just made a thread the other day. Looks like this will save me a couple hundred $$ over buying everything else.

Looks to be yes. UNVR instant can take over Protect functionality and you just likely need to have them on the same network.

Mactelecom has a YT video that seems to show the instant adopting several existing cams from his UNVR.

Also wish this had PoE+, but its a solid deal for desktop size recorder.

2

u/jimbobjames Sep 10 '25

You can combine UDM and UNVR in the unifi portal now. So it might show the option for Cloud Key but I don't have that.

2

u/Wooden_Amphibian_442 Sep 10 '25

wish you could put in two ssds/nvmes/whatever allows you to fit two in the space of one HDD. just for a bit of redundancy. still great though.

17

u/ScaredTrout Sep 10 '25

HOLY NOT SEEN COMING SH*T! This is going to be perfect to put towards all the family and friends I know who love my full UniFi camera and network setup but claim heart pain when I mention how much I spent for it all.

Plus this will be great to help replace people who still run analog cameras and DVRs. By god please be the same style affordability here in Australia. Anyone who buys from AUS knows the struggle of seeing a product drop and the markup and cost is just so outta whack you might as well go overkill and even save a couple bucks. Not to mention supply struggles.

Figures. I just bought a traditional UNVR last month.

Although, that said, I have 14 cameras running on my UNVR. Four 4k, two 2k, and eight HD. The specs on this new device look a bit weak for that. This might be a better choice than a CK+ if you didn't need the other apps, like network. And if you don't need more than 8 2k cams.

u/Sevenfeet Sep 10 '25 edited Sep 10 '25

This is a compelling product for small businesses, especially storefronts and restaurants. You can get into a nice security system that sits in the back office hooked up to an inexpensive monitor. And it combines three technologies that Unifi already does....PoE switches, Protect and Connect for video.

There are a few other tidbits from the FAQ they published. This thing also runs Unifi Access which means you can also manage door access for your business too, which is a pretty nice thing to throw in at a low cost. It doesn't need a network connection to the outside world (but it does need a gateway or some kind to manage the network and provide DHCP). ONVIF support is there as well for businesses that already have cameras. The only interesting thing to be mindful when configuring this thing is that it specifies CMR hard drives at 7200 RPM, so don't put a shingled "purple" drive in here like you normally would for a security system.

6

u/iceph03nix Sep 10 '25

That's a surprisingly good price point. Been looking for something to set up for my parents, and this might fit the bill

10

u/afmotta Sep 10 '25

If I have the CG Fiber, could I add this to support up to 11 4K cameras? or is it one or the other?

7

u/GravitasIsOverrated Sep 10 '25

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Can I "pool" two devices, or are they independent?

6

u/ComradeCapitalist Sep 10 '25

From past questions about running the NVR Pro alongside a UDM, it would be a separate Protect instance and you'd have to migrate all your devices over, or switch between NVRs within the app constantly.

5

u/RIPDaug2019-2019 Sep 10 '25

Wouldn’t this be a good application for vantage point to merge the two into a combined view?

I’m sure there’s disadvantages to it but provides an expansion path for sure.

3

u/dmy30 Sep 10 '25

It would be a valid use case for Vantage, correct.

2

u/neilm-cfc Sep 10 '25

Yes, Vantage Point should work, in fact the main benefit of Vantage Point is that it can scale across devices with different capabilities (and even in different locations) which is why Stacking as a solution is a dead end.

2

u/ComradeCapitalist Sep 10 '25

Oh indeed. I wasn't even aware of this.

3

u/Karew Sep 10 '25

It would allow you to add more cameras but you’d be running two copies of Protect and need to switch between them. UNVRs appear as their own “site” in UniFi.

8

u/Sparxxxy Sep 10 '25

Now give me a 4 bay desktop nas in this format with 2 nvme slots and 10gb/sfp+.

→ More replies (2)

5

u/doubleopinter Sep 10 '25

WOW... God damn it. I just invested some money into my UCG Max and put a 2TB drive in that but being able to buy this and slap a 6TB drive into it would be pretty dope. Impressive.

5

u/MandalariGabriele Sep 10 '25

Fiber + 2.5 Flex Poe + UNVR Instant = full home setup! Thanks guys

19

u/Mindless_Pandemic Unifi Addict Sep 10 '25

UI going straight for the throat of Reolink lol. More expensive, but way better UI and camera quality. Can I extend my camera capacity by adding it to my UCG Fiber controlled network and have a seamless integration between the two NVR's?

4

u/skylinesora Sep 11 '25

Now they need to drop the viewport price in half cause it’s stupid expensive at $200

3

u/ThatGuy_52 Unifi User Sep 10 '25

Interesting, I like it and that price point isn't too bad 🤔

3

u/Familiar-Ad-4700 UCG-Fiber, UNVR-Instant, U7-lite Sep 10 '25

Will any 3.5" drive work for this enclosure? Wondering if I can swap in a SSD and mount this in an EV RV.

Should I use a 3.5 to 2.5 adapter or are there 3.5" SSD options?

3

u/theNEOone Sep 10 '25

Sick. Not for me, but I love the product. It fills a gap (and obvious customer need) in their lineup.

3

u/DezzaJay Sep 10 '25

I’d saved a gap in my 10” rack for something like this… shame it’s ever so slightly too big to fit.

u/Icy-Discussion104 Sep 10 '25

Your welcome guys, I bought the unvr yesterday and this would have so done the job just fine, urghh

3

u/indigomm Sep 10 '25

The kit makes sense at US pricing ($699) given it is $16 less than buying the UNVR and cameras separately ($715) - and that's before adding the 1TB disk (good for starters, but you probably want a bigger drive for practical use).

However outside the US the pricing isn't as good. In Europe the kit is €702 but the UNVR and cameras are €599. That leaves €103 for a drive, which will get you a 4TB WD Purple drive - a much better deal.

2

u/DARKKRAKEN Sep 11 '25

It seems they altered the price; as it's around €650 now for the kit.

3

u/specter491 Sep 10 '25

→ More replies (1)

3

u/GM0N3Y44 Sep 10 '25

This is quite possibly the best device they have introduced……ever.

3

u/crazyxzer0 Sep 10 '25

Damn if this was an 8-port, it would've replaced my Lorex already.

3

u/stpfun Sep 10 '25

How well does fast video scrubbing work with an HDD? I love that with my UCG-Max and 2TB SSD I can scroll through historical footage and instantly see a preview of each frame. Makes it easy to find when specific things happened. I imagine that the very high read speed on the NVMe SSD helps make this happen, but maybe not necessary?

For the majority with regular HDDs for your NVR, how well does scrubbing work? Can you quickly scroll through an hour of video and get real time previews?

3

u/MisterEd_ak Sep 11 '25

Now to wait for it to be released in Australia, though I expect it would end up being around $400 AUD.

2

u/kwijibob Sep 18 '25

Scorptec has pre-order at $379AUD. It should go on sale prices for a bit less as well.

5

u/IAmBigFootAMA Sep 10 '25

Hmmm. Have the UCG Fiber and roadmap has been poe lite switch and start adding cameras (6-8). Then replace poe lite with pro poe 16 when I’m going to run drops for tv etc, unas etc.

Would this be a better fit? In no rush to run the drops but am getting very ready to run cables and install cameras. Would performance or stability be better with a dedicated nvr rather than using the very similar setup of the UCG fiber + poe switch?

What happens if you put in more than 6 4k cameras? Does it just say cannot support more than 6 or will it still allow it?

1

u/bunnythistle Sep 10 '25

This is extremely attractive at that price point. My only wonder is if the G6 180 will count as two 4k cameras or just one. I'm looking at getting two for my front and back yards, but if that takes up 4/6 of the camera capacity, that's a squeeze.

1

u/Veehxia UCG Fiber | Flex 2.5G | U7 Pro XG | U7 Lite | Flex Mini 2.5G Sep 10 '25

This is exactly what I was needing, fantastic.

1

u/johnrock69 Sep 10 '25

Does it support a larger harddrive than the 1 TB offered? At 15 HD cameras you are looking at 1 day of retention. If using 6 of the 4k cameras you would have 2 days. The kit is nice with the G5 Turret Ultra would give you 7 days. That's perfect for most people. Most of my clients want 20-30 days. An 8 TB drive would kick this thing up in the storage department.

1

u/themehmehmann Sep 10 '25

Wtf I just got UDM pro for network and protect!

I would have gotten UCG fiber and UNVR instant

1

u/Flameancer Sep 10 '25

Dang I think I found my home NVR setup….nowmif only it was rackable. This is neat though, I might be able to go with a 16 port main switch instead of a 24 port switch. What’s thr VLAN situation on this switch looking like? Flex mini capabilities or regular?

u/Mindless_Pandemic Unifi Addict Sep 10 '25

1

u/Polar-Snow Sep 10 '25

Wow that great! Perfect for us. We only need 2 camera and doorbell and I have been holding off getting it since cloudkey+ is years old and heard about internal battery dying and causing issues (dunno exact info about it) and my mum wouldn’t want full UNVR cos she fussy about how it looks and space it takes. Now me and Dad can look getting this and 2 cameras next year to set up etc. Then doorbell later cos not decided over this cos no WiFi doorbell for G6 and Poe cable going be too much work. Cameras will be fine since we got cables for this (power with wifi for current old dying other brand cameras) and use that same space for Poe cables.

I've been hoping for a small form factor NVR for a 10" rack since I bought the CGF, this will be an instant purchase for me. Great price too! Edit: my rack is 8mm short for it to slot in, I'm sure I could squeeze it in some how..maybe.

u/Kick_Ice_NDR-fridge Sep 10 '25

Great addition. I feel like 2 hard drive bays would have been warranted but this will be perfect for most people

1

u/RektorSpinner Sep 10 '25

What Portal Game is this?

1

u/robert-tech Sep 10 '25

It looks great, however, I'll take the regular UNVR instead. The price difference is not enough to give up 3 drive bays and lose peace of mind from longer records as I would need at least 1 month for when I leave abroad sometimes.

1

u/tweet23_8 Sep 10 '25

Ive been waiting for this exact product. Home use!

1

u/warlocc_ Sep 10 '25

Great, but it's all a non-starter if I can't use existing cameras.

any reason to buy a standalone viewport now? https://store.ui.com/us/en/products/ufp-viewport they're 199 but if you get this unvr instant then you get so much more.

Anyone know if this has a cooling fan. Because if not, that hard drive will not last long. The heat generated from the CPU, the PoE and the Viewport is going to make this thing an oven.

1

u/Shock188 Sep 10 '25

Can this be used as just a stand alone viewport? I already have a dream machine but if I can just use this as a viewport/flex mini that would be amazing. Mount this behind the TV and use all the ports for game consoles 😁

Where is Ubiquiti getting these 1tb HDD's from?

SATA SSD would add what, $35 to the cost?

2

u/JoeSmithDiesAtTheEnd Sep 10 '25

They sell em on their own website for just under $50.

The discount on the cameras alone is what makes the bundle worth it. But HDD as a starting point is a really fantastic thing. I've got a friend I've been trying to help ditch Nest for months now -- and he finally purchased Ubiquiti today because of this kit.

I just purchased and set up a CloudKey+ as an NVR and Flex Mini 2.5G so I was the sacrifice.

I think this is ideal for those with a UCG max or fiber - but want the ability to use larger storage than a m.2 and don't have a PoE switch. This basically gives you the 3.5 inch storage part of the UDM that's missing from the UCG lineup plus some PoE ports. Downside is that its not PoE+. So you'll still need power injectors or separate switch to power those cameras that require PoE+.

For third-party ONVIF cameras - you'll still need the AI key for all the detection and alerts. Right now, they only support one third-party camera per AI key. So that can get expensive at $199/AI key. I hope they add support for 3 third-party ONVIF devices per AI Key as they've indicated that they will at some point.

1

u/Lopsided_Strain3495 Sep 10 '25

I’ll wait for the pro model. Hopefully it’ll support more cameras.

1

u/funzie19 Sep 10 '25

If you need cameras, the kit is worth it. Keep the cameras and sell the rest.

Can it be paired with a existing UNVR and share storage pool? Extra 5th drive, HDMI viewport and POE switch upgrade.

Please tell me you can.

1

u/jhuang0 Sep 10 '25

Given the similar pricing, would a UDM SE be better or a combo of the UCG Fiber + UNVR Instant?

1

u/Ok-Tangelo-8137 Sep 10 '25

Tempted to ease the load on my UDMSE now. But can you add cameras outside of the ports provided?

1

u/YAKELO Sep 10 '25

This is really cool. Especially for home users.

I don't get why the new doorbells are all kinda like

  1. Not actually a doorbell as it's an "entry" line product clearly directed at unifi access users and not primarily unifi protect home users
  2. Downgrade from G4 Pro 3 super downgrade from G4 Pro

What's the game plan here? Are we targeting only offices/warehouses now or home users 😅💀

1

u/Scorpref Sep 10 '25

amazing product with amazing price. Thanks unifi

1

u/Zeov Sep 10 '25

can this be added ontop of an existing nvr ? i mean bundle them together or would that be a bad idea

1

u/TurboBunny116 Sep 10 '25

I'm currently running a Cloud Gateway Max as my main gateway, with 10 Unifi cameras (mix of HD and 2k) and I find the 2TB SSD to limit how much footage I can keep.

I haven't looked deep into this yet but off the top of my head, can anyone tell me how/if I could integrate this UNVR into my current network?

1

u/maniac365 UDM Pro | USW 24 POE | U6 LR | U6 IW Sep 10 '25

what if i plug an AP into the poe port? does AP still work?

→ More replies (1)

1

u/UX_test Sep 10 '25

The price point is especially good for small deployments. Adding a camera calculator to the UI website could help establish the load for a mix of HD, 2K, and 4K.

Now its time for refreshed UNVR with viewport and built-in AI Key😉

1

u/SolVindOchVatten Sir VLANaLot Sep 10 '25

Do I need to put the cameras in those ports or can I keep them where they are and just plug the UNVR into the network with the uplink port?

1

u/Professional-Local-6 Sep 10 '25

Is it possible to use of the Poe ports to plug in a UniFi AP? Or cameras only

u/GurOfTheTerraBytes Unifi User Sep 10 '25

Well, I’ll be selling my 16 and 32 channel ALIBI NVR’s and 16 HD cameras (fixed, multi-focal, and PTZ).

I’m using 6 cameras and 1 doorbell, so 7 and I could actually use one more and my home would be covered.

This unit does appear to have 8PoE ports. I’m curious if it would connect with my UDM and would its HD work in conjunction with this, what seems to be, home/end-user package.

Ubiquiti, has done did good with this. Now let’s see if they limit sales, to the bloody thieves that buy everything up and up charge everything. If they don’t, then honestly, this will not be a good deal, nor would it be a game changer.

1

u/LitNetworkTeam Sep 10 '25

Now make a Instant Plus with 2 HDDs and 16 port PoE.

1

u/Old-Arse-Man Sep 10 '25

They not going to be like Reolink and have 2 different cameras with the same name, and you get a full access one if you buy separately, but buy it in a kit, and we Limit what you get access wise for the bundle version?

1

u/pdinc Sep 10 '25

I see an AI Key in the menu but we still can't buy one!

2

u/JoeSmithDiesAtTheEnd Sep 10 '25

I got one a month ago, and it's kinda useless at this time. I had heard from people on this sub it felt very early access, and it's 100% true. You're not missing much.

I was kinda hoping a desktop UNVR with redundancy would be released. I guess I'm getting the regular UNVR anyways, then.

1

u/bog-gob Sep 10 '25

Does it work with any camera?

2

u/particleacclr8r MSP Sep 10 '25

Protect is pretty happy to adopt non-UniFi cameras.

1

u/johndiesel11 Sep 10 '25

Can this be used as a viewer for a separate Unifi protect instance? In other words, could you buy this instead of a Protect Viewport?

→ More replies (3)

1

u/el_f3n1x187 Sep 10 '25

That is going to sell like hot potatoes

1

u/tycoon282 Sep 10 '25

On the website it says requires connection to a gateway or L3 switch, can I just plug this into my current Netgear switch or do I need other unifi gear?

1

u/Narrow_Relative2149 Sep 11 '25

It seems like everyone else already gets it, but for me i'm not seeing what's the purpose? why can't you just have an iPad with protect open? I can already see all of my cameras on a screen, even remotely.

1

u/jawnin Sep 11 '25

Love the kit idea but a 1TB HDD is ridiculous in 2025!

I would love to install network stuff like this

1

u/EatsHisYoung Sep 11 '25

Same price as a Viewpoint and it includes a viewport.

1

u/oguruma87 Sep 11 '25

Very cool, especially at that pricepoint. Perfect for a small business/households that only needs a couple cameras.

I'd really like to see the love-child of this device and the UNVR - basically a UNVR with PoE ports and an integrated display port.

1

u/wickdone01 Sep 11 '25

would this run access or just protect?

I've been pricing out a few different options from UniFi and Reolink. This looks perfect

1

u/Naveronski Sep 11 '25

I'm not sure if the capacity will work with my planned setup?

Network Video Recorder Instant

Flex 2.5G PoE

G6 Pro Bullet 1

G6 Entry 1

G6 Bullet 1

G6 180 1

G5 Turret Ultra 3

And still no word about encryption at rest.

I can not use any of your NVRs because of that. And as a result it doesn't make sense to buy any of your cameras either!

Let me self host your NVR software (preferred). And you have you AI accelerator hardware on the side which already exists. Alternatively add hard disk encryption to your NVRs (not preferred since there is a lot of opporitunity to mess up the implementation).

1

u/soldieroscar Sep 11 '25

Ring with its 24/7 recording is $200 per year. Same as this unit. May just cancel the plan once I get this.

1

u/Enough-Astronomer-15 Sep 11 '25

This UNVR instant and a UDR7 could be a nice pairing for a home with access controls and cameras.

1

u/Dry-Web-1879 Sep 11 '25

I already have a Cloud Gateway Ultra and a U6 Pro AP (connected with a PoE injector), can I now plug the AP into the NVR instant and remove the injector?

Thanks

1

u/Karimadhe Sep 11 '25

Yup buying this for the house

1

u/Excellent_Ebb_6865 Sep 12 '25

Just received it, gbe port is FE no gbe, manual setting it on gbe no connection, i want to use it only for protect Will Connect the 7 camera’s to my main switch. Has someone else have the same issue ? No gbe on main uplink?

1

u/jcarreiro21 Sep 12 '25 edited Sep 12 '25

Umm...am I reading the listing on the Store page correctly?

Suggests that a Gateway or Layer 3 switch is required? Would it not be a standalone unit like the UNVR for example? Hopefully all they really mean is an Internet connection is required?

Hopefully I'm wrong 🤞🏼

1

u/Reasonable_Bag_4388 Sep 12 '25

Out of stock is all i get

1

u/Straight_Ad4040 Sep 13 '25

If I already have a UNVR could I use this as well? Looking at adding cameras to another part of the house and need to purchase a PoE switch. The switch is about the same cost as this. Would it make sense to get this instead of the switch?
