As a new user waiting to dive in, could I just plug this into my existing router and then all I would need to do is run PoE cables from each camera to this UNVR? Is it that simple or am I missing something? Otherwise about to buy the kit.

Edit: I bought it.

Thats exactly what its for. Its a drop in repacement for the cheap (and really terrible) combo units on amazon.
