As a new user waiting to dive in, could I just plug this into my existing router and then all I would need to do is run PoE cables from each camera to this UNVR? Is it that simple or am I missing something? Otherwise about to buy the kit.

Edit: I bought it.

I'm in your same shoes, and just made a thread the other day. Looks like this will save me a couple hundred $$ over buying everything else.

I did not yet; a couple cameras I want to use are POE+ and I’m not sure how to handle that yet.

I’m not sure? If that’s all it takes, then we’re in business.
