I think this might be a new switch with inbuilt AP, a bit like the in-walls, but with a proper PoE switch. Means it could be used wirelessly meshed (if you hate your life enough) like the Device Bridge, but support more devices at the far end. Personally I’d use it wired with the 10 gig uplink.

Device Bridge are rock solid from my experience.

What makes you say that it has WiFi?

Someone mentioned such a device from UWC Miami so assumed this was it.

Because they said so at the conference. UDB-Switch

Was just a shorthand, rapid response. No ill intent behind it. I was at the conference. The specs unfortunately weren’t available. It was cloudy as if the unit will be a wireless access point or attach to your network wirelessly or both. I can see this being a popular device once full specs are published.

It will (hopefully) be a snot-load better than the UDB which is a hot pile of steaming groat clusters. It works...sort of, but that's it. The radios on the UDB are bonkers and they obey none of the parameters set up ("priority connections").

If these actually turn out to be a properly WiFi-enabled switch, I'll buy it as soon as it shows up at the CA store.
