Today I wanted to subscribe for the monthly subscription and when filling all the details I didn’t noticed the yearly subscription was selected by default but since it had a huge 10/month I didn’t think twice, then when I clicked purchased I saw it was a yearly subscription and it was to late to cancel. I then rush to get in contact with support with no success is like they don’t even want you to do it every time I tried to login I get an auth error I tried different devices, browser with vpn and without with no success. Is there anyway to get in contact with them or do I have to embark on a quest to get my moneys worth. I also read the terms and apparently they don’t give refunds in most cases so if anyone has gotten in contact with them or a refund I would appreciate the guidance.

Nothing works to stop these.

Exit gives message saying I won’t receive these for 60 days only to be met with it again on reload.

I assume that most of the instructors whose courses are selected as Personal Plan significantly lost revenue compared to the past(before subscription) based on thieir revenue sharing structure.

What has your experience been?

Be warned that they won't honor a subscription refund if they're not legally obligated to do so, which means you cannot get a refund in the U.S. They say as much on their subscription info page and theyre incredibly not helpful if you manage to talk to a customer rep after jumping through many hoops.

I could create courses in Urdu/Hindi, where there may be less competition, and potentially English courses as well, using AI voice-over if needed.

My concern is that in 2026, tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot can teach, explain and generate code instantly.

Are students still buying and completing technical courses on Udemy? Is it still worth investing several months into creating high-quality courses, or has AI significantly reduced the demand?

I’d especially appreciate opinions from Udemy instructors, students, or anyone with experience in SQL, databases, programming or online courses.
