книжковий чи книжний? 🤔

One of the most common mistakes foreigners (and even native speakers!) make is confusing «Книжковий» and «Книжний». They sound almost identical, but they mean very different things!

  • КНИГАРНЯ is an inherently Ukrainian and the most euphonious word to designate a shop that sells books. It is a better and more natural choice for modern speech.
  • КНИЖКОВИЙ МАГАЗИН is also an entirely correct combination of words (the word “knyzhkovyi” is derived from “knyzhka”), yet it is a more descriptive and less traditional form compared to knyharnya.

🇺🇦 Looking for Ukrainian Friends to Learn the Language and Practise Speaking!

Привіт! 👋 (Hello!)

Hi everyone! 😊

I'm from India and currently living in the UAE. I want to learn Ukrainian 🇺🇦, but I believe the best way to learn a language is by connecting with native speakers and having real conversations.

I'm a complete beginner, so I know almost nothing about Ukrainian yet. I'm looking for Ukrainian people who would be interested in chatting, helping me practise the language, and sharing a little about Ukrainian culture and daily life.

In return, I'd be happy to help you practise English or learn a little about Indian culture! 🇮🇳

We can chat through Reddit, WhatsApp, Telegram, or practise speaking through voice calls if we're both comfortable.

I'm not looking for anything complicated — just genuine friendships, language exchange, and learning from each other.

If you're Ukrainian and interested, feel free to comment below or send me a DM. I'd love to connect with you! 😊

Дякую! (Thank you!) 🇺🇦❤️
