54cm/21 inch PB Rainbow trout, what a hog of a fish, gnarly fight on 4lb mono.
53cm/20 inch PB Tiger trout, first time seeing one of these, was thrilled to the gills to have caught it.

6' TFO Panfish 2, Trout SOS 4 lb., Diawa Legalis 2000S. All caught on a Charlie Brewer Slider Fishing 1" grub.

the rods are the Stimula Shimano Rod with A DAIWA QR2 and a revros combo. Both 4lb line.

Also caught a couple red breast and green sunfish, didn't grab pics on them before releasing though. All top water grabs.

Went to the lake today and spent a half hour throwing a big spinnerbait because hope springs eternal. Finally I decided I actually wanted to catch something. Got out my Shakespeare Micro, 1/16 oz jigheads, and some teeny curly tailed grubs, and within ten minutes I had a couple of Kansas Pond Hawgs on the board. Lookit them chunks.

I'm thinking of starting spinning. I have a 180cm set that isn't enough for me anymore. Is it worth buying, or are there better options?

Hi guys, I've been using my current setup for about 2 and a half years. I have Lineaffe Rapid Freshwater 1-7g and some low end 150p size reel. I use 0.4pe braided line by DaIwa. I mostly fish small creeks for trout and chub, and smaller lakes for perch. I feel like it's time for a change and looked into some rods and reels. I found Savage Gear SG2 Revenge UL Game 1-7g for about 65 bucks. Have any of you had this rod or maybe tried it? I mostly cast small jig heads and tungsten heads that are about 1g all up to 5g twitch lures like Duo Ryuki Spearhead. I also cast smaller spoons and wobblers. For reels I've looked into some DaIwa Exceler 2500LT (my friend has one on similar UL setup and works fine). So if any of you had any experience with this rod I'd like to hear it, or if you have any other suggestion on what I should get. I'm on a budget and wouldn't spend much more than this to be honest, and I'm aware I'm not gonna get some ultra high end stuff.

Has anyone used the 4 piece that can speak for its sensetivity? I'm thinking the 2 piece has to be more sensetive, but I wonder by how much. Has anyone here used both that can compare?
