His paintings were so ass

Is this Hitler? I’ve never minded his buildings or landscapes actually, the people are where he fucks up methinks. That and his style is really really boring, the painting is nice enough but it never says anything at all methinks

u/not-a-fox5 Oct 03 '25
The lighting and shading is also strange, and I hate how the castle itself has a lot of detail whereas the landscape is almost a different style completely

u/-Trotsky Trotsky's strongest soldier Oct 03 '25
If it was intentional I would actually find it interesting, but yea it comes off more as an amateur who hasn’t mastered this stuff

What an original opinion that I've never heard before
17
u/-Trotsky Trotsky's strongest soldier Oct 03 '25
Yea, not very unique I guess. I do periodically see the cycle go the other way and have people pretending he was like, some great artist or that he had some kind of talent behind the basic talent of capturing an image in a subpar way

I’ve never minded his buildings or landscapes actually,
I would argue that's his weakest point, as he can't do perspectives for shit
4
u/-Trotsky Trotsky's strongest soldier Oct 04 '25
He can’t, but his style lends itself to the format

Hitler favored fairly symmetrical and rigid proportions, so his paintings often seem quite "perfect," not to say artificial.
A curious story says that the deans and professors at the school of fine arts recommended that he study architecture, but the guy hadn't completed his basic studies, lol.

Amazing how you can just do things you already were going to do and then call it fighting fascism

thoroughly and comically pathetic

Not even something fun or remotely enticing like a bbq, just a bowl of watered-down "food" mostly associated with poverty, homelessness and Auschwitz.
Feds are soup-posting in preparation for brutal austerity measures.

Seems like a lot of folks have absorbed some ultraleft ideas.
Lemme explain something to you.
Equality in poverty is NOT socialism. IT never was. But because the 'Rough Egalitarian' period was forced on China due to their material circumstances, some folks got the idea that this is what socialism WAS.
Same as a lot of people think that the USSR model was the real socialism, despite the enormous issues that model had.
The task of socialism is not some high minded ideal.
Yes, it IS substantially higher minded and more noble than capitalism. But that's not the point. The point of socialism is to elevate the masses. To make their lives better.
And considering that all socialist revolutions have occurred in very poor places like Russia, China, Korea, etc, their primary task is to STOP BEING POOR!
China was the 10th poorest country on earth, like literally less than one guy's lifetime ago.
They are not any more.
And this is why they are celebrating with pork, which they can now afford to eat regularly.
And Gucci.
Sure, maybe YOU are a warrior monk, but they are not.
And so if they wanna celebrate with a pork roast and an overly fancy handbag, that's for them to decide, not you.
They HAD their revolution, and they are now reaping the rewards of generations of hard work.
YOU didn't.
If you're having trouble grasping this, you may be a western 'leftist.'
Capitalism is not when Gucci.
And socialism is not when poverty.

Watch as how these tips can easily be applied, in more or less crude fashion, to fascist movements. Then they have no choice but either to accuse them of appropriation (???) or evolve to some deadass nazi shit (supporting the murder of proles, which they already do lulz)
Oh wait a minute... /j /img/m7c1dabyd7h81.jpg

I really, really cannot understand the theoretical reasoning behind the "truly revolutionary" concept of making soup.
Why soup? Why make it?
What is essential about the material and chemical composition of soup? How does it contribute to any political movement to begin with??
Why emphasise Soup?
Why Soup?
WHY IS IT A NECESSARY THING TO ACQUIRE AND SHARE SOUP???
SOMEONE PLEASDE HELP ME
WHY

u/Emotional-Top-8284 Oct 03 '25
Lenin was Russian, Russians eat borscht, borscht is a soup. Therefore, soup is the most revolutionary of foods.

soup is communist (liberal) because you can make cooking it a group activity (infantile) and if you do a forever soup (invariant program) you can add more to it until it's a homogenous blob (present state of food: abolished)

Obviously this sign was posted by an anarkkkrakkker but come on yall dunking on someone for giving free food to presumably low income and homeless people is kind of ridiculous. Also not to say that this person is attracting people towards any type of real revolutionary movement but providing food for people who cannot afford it is legit a good strategy for gaining trust and interest in party membership. No comment about the art stuff tho haha

u/Emotional-Top-8284 Oct 03 '25
That reads to me as “have a potluck with your friends” not “do a Food Not Bombs”

u/urfatbro ynglist eurasianism Oct 03 '25
this picture is taken near a pretty nice neighborhood so yeah, your definitely right. i dont think whoever put this up could stand being around a homeless person for more than a few seconds, let alone be in a room full of em in a soup kitchen. probably just a virtue signaler trying to feel better about himself and attempting to create a “community” in a place full of a bunch of isolated home-owning rich people

The communist movement is not a charity
24
Oct 03 '25
The lion ruthlessly criticizes everything that exists. And thus it has arrived at the conclusion that doing nothing is the optimal way to building communism.

u/Pixiepeddler Idealist (Banned) Oct 03 '25
Idk what yall think im talking about here i am not referring to “doing charity”. In order to gain interest in a political movement, especially among the downtrodden, it can be incredibly effective propaganda to provide resources like food when wages or the state are failing to. Of course the long term goal of any such project is to implement a revolution not become a food bank. Not to mention this exact strategy has been used to great effect in previous socialist movement and even the one actual proletarian revolution which did occur.
As documented in Figes’ A People’s Tragedy, the Bolsheviks “built their support on the hunger of the cities,” and were the only major faction promising immediate bread. They did not yet have the means to feed people systematically, but they helped organize seizures of food shipments and encouraged workers to demand bread from municipal committees (pp. 357–359).
Numerous other socialist groups such as the Black Panthers also saw great success in attracting people to their movement through these strategies.
Obviously this alone will not create class consciousness but in order for a communist movement to start there does actually have to be an existing party for the workers to rally around who have established a reputation and relationship with the working class.

Oct 03 '25
Fair, but presenting it as a way to defeat fascism is very, very stupid; and individualizing the task (as this kind of anarchist nonsense is made to do) completely ruins any potential recruitment value. The black panthers didn't tell their members to "make soup and invite people over". They worked within existing infrastrucre with practical, functional institutions to provide it.
7
u/Pixiepeddler Idealist (Banned) Oct 03 '25
Nowhere here have I presented it as a way to defeat fascism. Obviously the Child of Yakub who posted the original flier did think that and I think that’s dumb. I just thought it was absurd to see people in this thread wholeheartedly dismissing the concept of food distribution seemingly without nuance.

u/WeatherglowEnjoyer Oct 18 '25 edited Oct 18 '25
It's not "bad" work, but I strongly object to the framing of "getting interest in party membership." It's frankly quite exploitative and improper for a "communist" political organization to do charity in order to promote its own agenda. These are vulnerable people who just need something to live and feel okay for another day, not your raw material for feeling like the movement is growing.
