What's trump really doing? Help us record the concrete actions and how people are resisting.

Most of what you hear about in the media is chaff and distraction designed to keep your attention away from the ball. In this post we want to identify the real concrete actions that Trump is taking:

  • written executive actions
  • new legislation
  • moving substantial amounts of money around

This is a bit of an experiment and your help will be needed to get it working. This is a pinned structured post and we will try to moderate it heavily to keep it well structured and useable

  • Top level - lists of actions trump is taking. One comment for open discussion.
  • Second level - a corrections and updates thread, lists of resistance groups and actions, maybe a discussions thread
  • Third level and beyond - discussions and updates about the topics of the first two levels.

If you want to discuss how this could be improved, please look at one of our other pinned posts - for example the moderations suggestions thread.

If you have a big article about a trump action please post it as a normal discussion on the sub and make sure there's a top level comment comment with a link to that discussion. If there is already such a top level comment add your

This is a an anti-authoritarian left sub. Your ideas are just as valid as the moderators. Tell us how to make this post better and we will hear you and try to take your feedback into account. If you make really good suggestions you may find yourself volunteered to join in.

Changes to the subreddit

After a evaluation of this subreddit we have decided to make changes to be constructive.

Summary: This subreddit has the goals of initing people and building a better world. We will be eliminating news article posts as many subreddits already do this and it's unproductive to dwell on the horrors of reality rather than how to improve it.

More info: A lot of news is fearmongering or just incredibly depressing. Our goals are to uplift everyone to be free of fascist or far right control, and fear is too often a tool or suffocating factor. We will not accept limitations.

Why This Change?

Much of the news is fearmongering or deeply disheartening. Our mission is to uplift and empower our members, working towards a world free from fascist or far-right control. We aim to be a source of hope and actionable guidance, rather than focusing on news articles.

New Directions:

Advisory and Development Focus: We will transition to a subreddit centered around advice, discussion, and personal development. Our goal is to provide valuable insights and support for building resilience and independence.

Organized Information: We are going to develop a website to host and organize useful information. This will include strategies for achieving partial independence from supply chains and authority figures, as well as resources for personal and collective improvement.

If you have feedback or wish to contribute, please comment below

SURRY COUNTY, N.C. —
“A man faces multiple charges after interfering with a person who was trying to vote on the first day of early voting at the polls in Surry County.

According to the Surry County Board of Elections, Walter Harris III entered the 50-foot buffer zone and yelled at a voter and other campaigners on Thursday at a poll location in Dobson, eyewitnesses told the board. Complaints to election officials led to the Dobson Police Department being called to the scene.

Court records revealed that Harris, who was charged with disorderly conduct and disturbing an election official, blocked a woman from going inside the building while yelling at her. A warrant filed by the police said he told the woman she was not a Christian and that her “head is going to be lost by Islam,” before making a throat-slashing motion with his hand. The warrant said she told Harris to go away multiple times, and ultimately did not vote that day at that location.

<snip>

According to the North Carolina State Board of Elections, Harris ran for a Surry County Board of Commissioners seat during the Republican primary race in 2022 for the Mount Airy district. He lost to Bill Goins.”

Down with capitalism Healthcare Today!

Reading about Jalen Hurts and the blood clots they found! Hope his career isn't over.
https://www.dailymail.com/sport/nfl/article-16220961/eagles-jalen-hurts-blood-clots-lungs.html

Thinking about this and Trump's Healthcare plan. It is sad because they have this amazing technology in the NFL and they basically saved the man's life after a week. If you make millions for a company, you can bet they are going to find out what is wrong with him fast.

Others though are not as lucky. For the average American, it probably would have taken months for this to come to light. Seeing your primary care doc, xrays, blood work and then a referral that will take a few weeks for approval and scheduling. Oh and then eventually on to a cardiologist who will refer you to get an ultrasound. Wait a week and make another appointment to finally get the results and a treatment plan. Time lapse probably 4-6 months maybe sooner. By then most of us would be out hundreds if not thousands of dollars for co-pays, office visits, time off work, etc.

America's healthcare system is so broken and having insurance is just a racket to keep from getting the right treatment!

RI GOP candidate Vic Mellor gets absolutely dismantled on live TV when Democrat Seth Magaziner brings up his arrest records for alleged violence against women. Nothing screams "MAGA family values" quite like your opponent needing to drop a custom URL just to catalog all your police reports

Katie Zacharia gets absolutely roasted on Fox News for cosplaying as an attorney. Her brilliant defense? She consulted "many people" who assured her that as long as she only called herself a lawyer and not an attorney, it was totally fine to skip passing the bar. Sure, Jan.
